I'm sure this has been asked before, actually I know a similar question has been asked because that's how I stumbled upon this classy site. However, I feel swims situation would be answered differently due to different factors.

Question:
Swim used heroin very rarely. He recently, today, met his sister who gave him Suboxone. Now he had no I intention in doing the sub but when contacting his buddy he wasn't able to get the heroin he hoped for. Being the silly kid that he is and having the silly habit he has he had to IV this film. Swim did this in a safe manner so knowing it's still stupid and unsafe lets not get into all that.

The kicker and where the real question lies is in the fact that shortly after swim did the sub his buddy dropped of the bag of dark stuff. Swim not really being familiar with the technicalities of suboxone would like to know when he could do the dark stuff? Recap: never does suboxone - iv'd 8mg strip. Also swim felt nothing from the iv.

Whats a search engine...? I believe I found this site through one of those, and like I mentioned I read a few other posts on subject. I felt different variables like amounts consumed and duration of usage, along with administration route would all effect the time it takes to really enjoi what was available. Believe it or not your answer was slightly higher than what I read and expected with my variables.

I think your estimation is basically a rule of thumb with no consideration of the different variables explained in OP. I can stick to the rule of thumb though to be on the safe side. Would be sweet to know how these variables could either decrease or increase the time needed for subs not to block receptors. Maybe, my variables make no difference so I apologize if I come off disrespectful. Whats the science hahah but hey thanks for response. I shall stick with the rule of thumb though.

I'd say 36 hours, maybe even less because of the fact you shot it. The half-life is waaay less supposedly when you shoot it, but you shot ALOT. Next time ya get one of those 8mg strips cut it into 1/8ths or 1/4ths and you'll be good for the day, and you will have some more for rainy days when you don't have anything.
 
Yeah i did cut it up, however I literally didn't feel high after the first 2mgs so I did the other 6mgs about an hour later. The only thing I felt was itchy. Was a huge waste because I obtained the dark and normally if I let a sub dissolve under my tongue I would get wrecked if I hadn't messed with sub or dark in a bit. Wish I would have saved it. It's whatever though, it's one sub and chance to chill out for 36 hours at least :)
 
At the very least you'll have to wait 24 hours. Depending on your metabolism, you might have to wait longer to get the full effect from opiates again.
