I've been abusing suboxone for close to 3 years now. I'm already prescribed kpin cus I have panic disorder and other stuff wrong but I like the energy it gives me, but I know I cant do it anymore..before I'd just water down the strips but now I'm crushing pills a day. I've managed to go a day or 2 a week where I'm not on it (call it my bad days, sleep and not come out of my room days) but I want to be done. I've quit a lot of drugs, but this has me. I'm not sure why. If I've been snorting a 8mg pill a day 3 days on 1 off. 3 days on 1 off repeat repeat for the last month would it be hard to stop cold Turkey? Since I'm prescribed klonipin would that help me also. I wouldn't take more than told ( hate the drowsiness). Im lost and have no idea what to do. Any thoughts or people who've quit abusing the meds advice would be great. people in my life are telling me its unnatainable to do cold turkey. thanks and happy holidays.

Hey man, I don't have an answer for your question, but i just made a thread about how my psychopharmacologist is willing to put me on suboxone for kratom and alcohol withdrawal, whereas i'm not sure i think it's a good idea cause i dont' want a new drug to get high on, and i actually want ultra low dose naltrexone but she won't prescribe that and only high dose.

I think she's being kind of hypocritical, though she's nice, to offer a drug that probably has much more abuse potential than what i'm asking for, and then i see posts like yours where you have a problem with suboxone and i wonder, is this a drug to avoid using if you are someone like me who will likely try to get high off of it but doesn't want to?

Does it actually help you with drug cravings, and if so, why would you take it get high in the first place?

And do you think it's a stronger ''harder'' drug than kratom?

Cause if so I think i should steer clear.

It's so weird and frustrating to me that she won't prescribe ultra low dose naltexone because she knows i might try to combine it with kratom since i read that supposedly it is safe to take with kratom but at the same time decreases desire to take it while also lowering tolerance and potentiating, but she's offering a drug that i have a feeling is much worse than kratom, though i could be wrong.

The way doctors work makes no sense to me, refusing to try more atypical and experimental methods for fear of legal trouble while seemingly offering something that's probably more dangerous but common.

What do you think?

Would you steer clear of it if you were me?

I mean, she says it's safe and won't give me enough to get high, but i don't know, i just want something to help me get sober for a bit.
