Hey everyone,

Okay, I know there is a ton of information on this topic all over and I have read almost all of it, but I couldn't really find any answers given my situation. Basically my main question is, approximately how long do you think my suboxone WD will last? Heres my short history.. I started using heroin a couple years ago. After about 6 months I said enough is enough and went to rehab and my doctor put me on suboxone maintenance. I started at a absurdly high dose but eventually tapered down to .25 mg once a day approx. I was on subs for about 1 year. I tried quitting subs, but after a few days my good friend conveniently relapsed and subsequently I let in and so did I (I thought I could possibly only use for a couple days to help me get through the sub WD... how extremely stupid of me, although I can say it was probably just me justifying a reason to use again). Anyways, this obviously didn't work, and I ended up IVing heroin for about 2.5 months give or take (only about .5 a gram a day maximum, usually less). I couldn't take it anymore and finally went back to the subs. I was on the subs again for about 10 days, starting a the lowest dose possible (around 2 mg once a day), and at the end of the 10 days I was only at around .25 mg once a day again. I jumped off exactly one week ago and have been using kratom to help with the WD (please don't bash me and tell me im only replacing one habit with another. I know kratom is addicting but I really am extremely motivated to get 100% clean, and as I am very busy all the time I really can't handle withdrawals well). I started taking about 1.5 tsps of normal bali powder twice a day, and now am taking only about .75 tsp twice a day. Its been exactly 1 week since I last took the suboxone, but after about 5-7 hours of me last taking Kratom, if I try not to, I start feeling extremely weak, start sweating, RLS, can't sleep, etc. My question is, do you think these symptoms are from Kratom WD, or from lingering Suboxone/opiod WD? I know suboxone WD can last a long time, but considering I was only using suboxone for about 10 days at such a small dose, shouldn't the be shorter? How many more days would you recommend me taking kratom before I jump boat completely?

Quick summary: Young Male, 125 lbs, very fast metabolism: 1 year of sub use (down to .25 mg)>2.5 months moderate-light heroin use>10 days of minimal sub use (down to .25 mg once a day)>7 days Kratom use (currently at .75 tsp of normal bali power 2x daily). Again, I realize there is a ton of information about people detoxing from suboxone with kratom, but I couldn't find any answers regarding only 1 week of suboxone use after a few months of heroin use, everything I read was people who were on suboxone for over a year (although I was, but then stopped for almost 3 months when I was using H again).

What would you guys recommend me doing? I just got into a really good school and am moving soon to start a new life, so I really really want to be 100% substance free by then, and am very motivated. (I also have immodium, although I don't know if I should use it as I don't want to possibly just prolong wd, and have been eating healthy, taking L-tyrosine, vitamin C, and a multivitamin, as well as trying to excercise as much as possible, although its been hard since I have minimal energy) Sorry if my post was all over the place. Thank you so much for any advice or helpful tips!

You seem to have it all figured out already. I would ditch the Kratom entirely and just focus on being clean. You mentioned you're busy; that could work to your advantage, distract you from the discomfort of giving up Subs. I'm sure your Heroin addiction is gone by now, your body is very likely only dependent on Bupe at the moment (besides food, sleep, etc, shut up), and you certainly haven't been on Bupe for very long, or at a very high dose, so jumping off should be as easy as quitting opiates can possibly get. Good Luck, man.
