Stupid things you've heard about drugs

Post stupid things you've heard people say about drugs.
"This molly is awesome, it's cut with ecstasy"
"MDMA is the same thing as heroin"
"Drinking and smoking weed at the same time is really dangerous"

and of course, the all time favorite, "my cousin's friend did acid and now he thinks he's a glass of orange juice, he can't lie down because he thinks he'll spill"

This seems to be the most persistent rumor.

No one ever directly knows the person who is an orange or orange juice or some other fruit/vegetable. It's always a friend of a friend, a cousin's friend, a kid at another school, etc.

Also the rumor that acid stays forever in your spinal column and if you crack your back in the wrong way it can send you into a flashback trip. That one also seems to have a hard time dying.

I have personally witnessed literally 5 different people experience psychotic breaks due to the use of classic psychedelics (tested and used personally by myself) and 1 with an unknown compound. All of the individuals in question came out of their breaks and only 1 came back slightly different. One of these is my cousin, a blood relative of mine, he took 3 hits of lsd of which i secured and tested and took 6. He was in a break for approximately 6 hours and came out fine. The most recent was my fiances brother. He ingested an unknown compound thought to be molly, he was in a break for about 18 hours and is fine.

We were actually called for his OD as I am considered an expert on handle breaks in my circle and those who know me so once her brother was showing signs of distress they called her and we went over. It is important to realize these are not "bad trips" these are complete psychotic episodes. I have handled and control half a dozen of these in my 7 years of doing psychedelics, we are all capable of breaking and none of us are immune. That is something i am sure to tell those who are caring for the person as if you do psychedelics you will witness a break if you choose to do them with others. But i have never once seen someone completely lose it forever it is possible but not likely. Even when her brother wasnt back after the 6 then 8 then 12 hours i never once said out loud they dont come back i just said "he will be fine with time" while thinking maybe not. With proper care i think they have a good chance of not thinking they are orange juice but sometimes it requires shackles, believe me.

I just wanted to say that and the stupidest thing i have heard is "man that couldnt have been acid it must have been an RC" because simply no.
 
"All drugs were once research chemicals," in response to safety concerns about recently synthesized (ex in the past 5-10 years) drugs.

Why is this stupid? For semi or fully synthetic drugs at the very least it is true. We knew nothing of LSD's safety until it was assayed biologically ("researched")

Effects of new drugs can be approximated but not known until tested

What does this have to do with what you quoted? During these breaks did any of the people think they were oranges or some sort of food or drink?

The stupid thing isn't that people can "lose it" while on LSD or other hallucinogens. I didn't say that couldn't happen and I didn't say it was stupid. The stupid thing was that the stories always involve people thinking they're a banana or an orange or orange juice. That's stupid.

Of course, but that's just my point. People downplay the potential safety concerns surrounding novel chemicals by saying that other drugs were novel at one point. However, the older drugs with a track record are now proved to be safe (to an extent of course). The same is not true for a chemical with no track record. It may be safe, or it may be dangerous.

BTW, I'm not against RCs. I've used a lot of them and many that have not been widely used (even relative to other RCs). I don't look down on people who do so obviously. However, people need to understand that the risks involved are unknown to an extent that's not comparable to other drugs that have a proven track record. Will you have a heart attack past a certain dose (maybe in combo with some other med)? Will it cause cancer? As you say, you can take an educated guess, but ultimately you make yourself a guinea pig and accept the potentially serious unknown risk involved.
 
Ahhh, I misunderstood your tone and ergo the meaning of your statement, fucking text communication man. You were saying that people use that reasoning as an excuse to be unsafe. My bad, I'm with you on that one.
 
I had some guy in prison call me a loser for being a junky and when I pointed out he was a dust head(iMHO is worse) he said I never smoked dust I only smoke sherm or boat. His buddy had to point out to him that indeed was angel dust(pcp) and never called me a junky again.

How about strychnine in lsd tabs?

Oh got another one,how about if you don't do dope 3 days in a row you won't get addicted.

Shit they keep flooding back all the stupid shit fellow addicts perpetuate such as giving a person having an opiate overdose a shot of salt and water it will make them come out of it by shocking their system.

If the heroin mixes up real dark it means it's good shit.

for content: People mix heroin and cocaine into ecstacy pills. ie..stupid muffin heads saying that "these pills are really smacky."
 
Ther was an old howard stern tv show,wher bigfoot who on the,show,was considered a whackpacker (I guess if you never listend to howard this wouldnt be,as great as it was,to me when I heard it)

So it was set up as a game show and one of the contestents (miss howard stern) had been up all night on lsd.
Now bigfoot jumps in the convo and says iv done acid
Have in mind bigfooot is a little slow but not mentally dissabled.so howard starts asking him about it and he said he go battery acid onto blotter and ate them and blacled out for two,days.
I guess its one of those videos u gotta watch.

Just the,seriouness of him,saying he,did that.I doubt its,even possible.
I looked,for the,video so,I,can put a,link for a,good 45 mins and couldnt find it.

then proceed to try and convince you that it doesnt really matter, while youre choking on the shit burnt taste of burnt shit. fucking tweakers. i also had someone tell me it wasnt bad to lick the rig before a shot, or to use saliva in cooker...i didnt even bother pointing out how many billions of bacteria live in human mouths. theyll find out sooner or later
