Benzos Studying and Benzos

Hello all!
I am in the midst of a huge amphetamine fueled study binge. I have heard that using benzos can lessen your abilities to retain information. I'm not on the benzo(xanax) right now as I study, however plan on using it to sleep. Since sleep is when we convert much of our memory into storage I'm wondering if this will hurt my studies.

So I guess I am wondering if taking a benzo to sleep will hurt a huge study session.
THANKS!

Yeah it might, but sleep deprivation will also harm your studying abilities/memory as well. Benzos do affect the sleep cycle/phases. I do feel I retain less of what I learned if i take a benzo to sleep, but you have to weigh the advantages and disadvantages - will you not sleep if you don't take it? Also maybe not use so much amps in future?

I'd say it's an alright idea considering the circumstances. While a benzo might toss you off a little the next day (depending on its active life), the effects of sleep deprivation and amphetamine use are probably going to make you lose your marbles more than getting a good night's sleep.

(Now using the benzo while studying will affect memory. So use it after you've decided the study session is finished.)

benzos like alprazolam, temazepam, or triazolam would be a bad idea. IME, clonazepam seems to not effect the memory so much, at least in low doses (.25-.5mg for nontolerant users), whereas things like alprazolam make me forget where i am, what i'm doing, who i'm with, and why clothes are necessary.

after studying, just take a clonazepam (.5mg is a good dose for this context) orally, and you will be relaxed, possibly fall asleep, and wake up feeling refreshed. I can say that while using amphetamines for over24 hours straight, taking clonazepam throughout made the stimulation and stay strong, rather than just wither away with every dose like usual. I even got up in the morning and was perfectly functional, and looked fairly normal, except for my slightly sunken eyes that were as wide open as could possibly be.

anyway, my point is that clonazepam is a more functional benzo IME, and is more clearheaded. I wouldn't recommend taking it with the amphetamines, but that's only because I've never studied on benzos, even with amps. I'm sure if the doses are balanced, it would actually make studying a lot easier and less frenzied. Take the benzo after you're done studying and lie down with your eyes closed until you fall asleep.

You should be ok, if you take just enough to sleep and no more. Benzo's fuck up my memory big to tho so i guess it depends on the person.

I've never had a problem with studying while on benzos, but I am also dependent on benzos. Speaking from experience, if you are taking amps to study and staying up all night, you will end up doing worse on your finals then if you actually went to sleep. Amphetamines can be great, but they can be the fucking devil.

I think you'll be fine. But xanax is pretty bad regarding memory, for me (and I take a lot if benzos) I find that xanax gives me the most memory defuncts. I'll know what I'm doing at the time, but when I look back my memory seems to slip and forget what I tried to lean while on xanax/dex. Any other benzo apart from phenazepam is okay for me. But that's just me. Xanax should be fine for you - but studies have been done proving that people suffer from Short term memory issues using xanax more than most other benzos.

If I were you I'd find another benzo (temazepam or bromazepam from experience works best for this in my experience).

If not use promethazine at 25mg, or doxylamine succinate. Both are anti-histamines which make you sleepy and don't cause memory problems.

The BEST you can do to retain your knowledge and need to sleep is melatonin, a ZMA supplement, fish oils, 500-1000mg l-lysine and ALCAR. Should get you to sleep peacefully and easily. Chelated magnesium is a natural sedative and should help you sleep more easily. 200-500mg l-theanine on top of that is also a great way to help you sleep. Honestly, all of this stuff is better and I've you deep refreshing sleep rather than drugged benzo sleep.
