storing GBL in non-corrosive container?

OK. I need to know what types of plastics 99.9% GBL will not melt. I have heard that hte reason it melts is because it is a lactone. Isn't nail polish remover also a lactone? if so, would a nail polish remover container(with acetone)not melt? I have already melted the plastic top on a glass vial, ruinig all the GBL inside, as well as melted an eyedropper I was using for measuring. Even if I use a glass vial type thing, how can I find a top that will not melt?
Is the easy answer to this question to convert it to GHB so it would be more basic?
 
I store 1,4 butanediol in the container it came in, a thick plastic bottle, it has been there for 5/6 weeks already and the plastic is just fine.

yes, the container it came in is fine, but it is too large to take to a party or club. I would like to use something that will fit in my pocket or bag. I once saw it stored in yellow M&M tubes, but don't know if it was GBL or GHB, whichI supose makes all the difference.
 
dont take this as the final word but from what I've heard, HDPE plastics hold it pretty well.....although 1,4 BDO came in a PETE container. A small HDPE (high density polyethylene) container is one of those black film canisters. Gallon spring water jugs are also usually HDPE. But again...the 1,4BDO came in a robitussin bottle so PETE containers could also work....i actually have done a lot of research into this...i saw this really tiny travel bottle of scope mouthwash in the store....experiment and let us know whats up. You can make an FAQ for g storage or something

The solvent qualities of GBL, GHB and 1,4BDO are all siginificantly different for each other so don't assume that if it is good for one then it is good for the other. GHB should be fine in virtually anything you put it in; it's a salt and it does not dissolve plastics, glass, or much of anything. GBL should be stored in HDPE plastics or glass only. If you value your health or your GBL then you won't use anything else. Do a search online and you'll find a number of places you can find HDPE plastics (and don't be paranoid about ordering them...they are completely innocent items). I believe all HDPE plastics say HDPE on them so if you see a container in the store and it doesn't say it then don't buy it.
 
Thanks guys. I'm off to search for HDPE bottles...The people in Eckerd are going to think I'm crazy, flipping everything over first.

Why don't you just get one of those baby travel sized glass mouthwash bottles? Wouldn't that work?
