Misc Storage of Prescription drugs

Some time ago I was in bad pain, but that's over now.

Good thing is I have over 60 Zaldiar's (Tramadol/Paracetamol) and 40 or so amitryptiline.
These things have an "end-of-use-date" (is this correct english?). Can I store them longer than it says on the packaging, if I keep them in the fridge/freezer ?
Or does this only work with RC's? ;)

^ This. Store em in a dry, dark place. They ought to keep a little better than powders.
