hey,
i have a couple of questions, but rather than post 2 times..well...anyway...
1) what is the best environment to store your eztest in? we've had ours for 3 months, and keep it in the fridge...is that bad? If so, where do we store it....in a cool dark place out of the sun???
2) We tested a pill for someone last night, and it was weird. We scraped some pill onto a white ceramic plate and dropped the reagent onto it. Only the granules changed to a dark colour (very hard to tell if it was black or purple, but very dark) then after about 35secs, the solution turned to a mauvy/maroon, purple...but not black.
Anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Have a lovely day.

i only have time, and knowledge really, for the first one. storing your kit in the fridge will prolong its life, but just generally keeping it out of bright, hot environments doesthe trick.
if you do keep it in the fridge try and take it out a while before you use it as it needs to be at room temperature to give an accurate test.

don't know if this helps...these pills don't look very professional...no logo, no score, roughly pressed...one of them was a very dark blue...i liken it to Lapis Lazuli (semi-precious stone) and the other was a dark green, i liken it to malachite (another semi-precious stone) The pills looked almost identical to eachother, except for colour...oh and they had a distinct aniseed smell...hmmmm...

I have kept me eztest in the freezer since I got it. Don't know if it helps but it is always a constant temp. when I test.
As for the color changes...it sounds safe. Black and purple are good changes if they are within 30-45 sec. and do no smoke. (bubbles are ok though) The longer the wait the weaker the roll in my experiences.
Also, I have posted the results of my last roll in the specific color change thread. Check em out. I'm gonna stick with a fast bubbly reaction to real dark purple as my roll of choice. The rolls tested black but we had to concentrate to get a good evening out of it. Later, SMAN

I thought if it turns black in less than 10 secs its MDxA. But if it takes longer than 10 secs its DXM. Isn't that right?
