stopping smoking

i remember seeing a big and dandy thread on stopping smoking but can not seem to find it . and as i have now been forced in to stopping i could do with one or to tips to help me with what i can only see as been total and utter hell for the next week or so .

26 years of heavy chain smoking is not going to be an easy way out job . i know that i will most likely be as ill as a dog for a day or 2 from today and my temper is like a pm.ing hulk on steroids and crack so glad iv a strip of Valium coming in the morning to help with some of it .

any way if you can give me the link to the thread or any tips to help me get through it will be appreciated

Go buy the book called "The easy way to stop smoking" by Allan Carr. It's success rate is fantastic!!

lets see im on three and a half weeks.. this isn't the first time quitting.. but something is different this time, i used to look longingly at people smoking when i tried to quit, now i just look at them and think how damn dumb they look.. something definitely changed?
