Over the course of 4-5 hours today, I had taken 6,400mg of Ibuprofen.
I was fine for several hours, but I have vomited since then and keep experiencing SEVERE nausea off and on, and heart burn.

I've had some milk as well as Omeprazole and Cyclizine. Is there anything else I can do to help my stomach?

Damn bro, that's a lot of ibuprofen. Idk what an overdose of that is, but that's more than I've ever taken for any reason. If it doesn't get better you should probably be seen by a medical professional, idk.

Why'd you take that much?

You could seek medical attention, but that is probably not a high enough dose for a fully grown adult for them to intervene in any significant way. Unless you have other issues.

Would they even give him like charcoal or something you think?

question... how much can i take and how frequently? 400mg 2 x daily ok for long term?

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way.
Taking 6,400mg of Ibuprofen in such a short period is quite a high dose and can lead to significant gastrointestinal distress, as you're experiencing.

Here are a few tips that might help alleviate your symptoms:
  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out the medication from your system. Avoid alcohol and caffeine as they can further irritate your stomach.
  2. Ginger: Ginger is known for its anti-nausea properties. You can try ginger tea or ginger supplements to help with the nausea.
  3. Bland Diet: Stick to a bland diet for a while. Foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (the BRAT diet) can be gentle on your stomach.
  4. Avoid Spicy and Acidic Foods: These can further irritate your stomach lining and exacerbate heartburn and nausea.
  5. Elevate Your Head: When lying down, keep your head elevated to prevent stomach acid from rising up into your esophagus, which can help with heartburn.
  6. Antacids: Over-the-counter antacids can help neutralize stomach acid and provide relief from heartburn and nausea.
  7. Consult a Doctor: Given the high dose of Ibuprofen you've taken, it's crucial to seek medical advice. They can provide specific treatments and ensure there are no serious complications.
It's important to be cautious with medications like Ibuprofen, as they can cause significant side effects when taken in large doses. Always follow the recommended dosage and consult with a healthcare professional if you're unsure.

Wow, that was a very well thought out and excellent reply; especially for here, good answer!

Thank you very much, I appreciate it!

It's always important for me to provide very detailed information and to always do my research on certain things, especially when it's about drugs and medication in general. It motivates me to hear such replies from users, and it also gives me a warm feeling inside.

I wish you only the best and a happy Christmas Eve.

Stay safe, Mana0909
