Cocaine Stimulants and depression

I have done many different drugs over the last 8 years, but can be viewed as a moderate user. I've done opiates ranging from vics, percs, roxs, oxys, and heroin. Hallucinogens such as mushrooms and acid. Plentyyyyy of weed. Quit acohol 3 years ago, fuck that shit. And plenty of stimulants such as cocaine, adderall, and mdma.

Now I would consider myself a recreational user that will be for the rest of my life, and don't regret it. To get to the point of this post, I would like to ask the question if anyone else feels that stimulants seems to greatly help depression (for a few days). Ive been dealing with depression since I was about 11, diagnosed with "major depression", was given cymbalta and the only thing it did was induce mania. I apologize for my disorganized post lol.

I agree that stimulants greatly help my depression, but only while I am on them. I don't get any lasting benefit from them, certainly nothing that helps for a few days afterwards. If anything, I feel worse after I come down off stimulants.

I have been dealing with depression since 14 and I am 23 now. I doubt it will ever go away, and I have been on 21 different types of psychiatric medicine. I am self-medicating at the moment, with opiates and benzodiazepines. Yea, depression sucks.

Stimulants can definitely help with depression, I just don't think it's an appropriate choice for most cases.

Some people will find it habit-forming, whereas others will have rebound depression upon cessation of use.

Not everyone will go through one or the other though, so it's not an idea to be totally knocked/disregarded, I would just check out other options first.
