If someone is on the following regimen, does it benefit their health if taking let's say mephedrone and methylone?
Amlodipine (10mg once daily) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amlodipine
Valsartan (160mg once daily) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valsartan

those meds are a calcium channel blocker and an angiotension receptor blocker.... no beta blockers there....

so would there be adverse reactions? better to stop the regimen and wait out the half-life before taking the stims? or would it be better to keep taking them?

I'd be exceptionally wary of using ANY stimulants when you have a heart condition- they'll just make your heart work harder when its already having a hard time working normally. This just seems like too much of a risk to give any advice apart from to reconsider you stimulant use.

it's not about me actually hehe.... yea i am as concerned as you are but i was hoping to get the science behind this scenario..... those meds apparently make it much easier on the heart....

Mephedrone wikipedia said:
Reported side effects suggest it may cause pronounced peripheral vasoconstriction, which has been speculated to result from formation of the potent vasoconstrictor 4-methylephedrine as a metabolite

The metabolite is also supposed to have a longer half-life than the effects of mephedrone itself, so re-dosing over a period of time will cause it to accumulate. It doesn't exactly do anyone's heart any good, but it's definitely a bit dodgy for those with a heart condition.

Ugh, don't take stimulants unless they are prescribed if you are on cardiac meds. The reason for taking cardiac meds (in this case it looks like its for hypertension, no?) is to decrease the workload on the heart and the vessels. Stimulants will spike the sympathetic nervous system causing vasoconstriction putting a greater workload on the heart. Don't do it.

they got those prescriptions cuz they've had a heart attack once hehe...

yea i read about the recent findings in meph metabolism.... how about just methylone then? definitely no blue extremeties/joints on that... hehe

If they've had a heart attack before then they definitely shouldn't be taking stimulants.
