stimulant comedowns...

we all get em: extreme anal retentiveness, paranoia, OCD, worrying, depression, etc.

what are the best methods have you used to calm yourself down? ive posted a similar thread on adderall but i just wanna know what you guys do across the board of stimulants.
 
I've never had any benzos at hand when using stimulants, so I just ride them out most of the times. Sometimes I drink a lot of hard alcohol (soft alcohol such as beer rarely helps) and it can do wonders. But mostly I just like to "tought it out" so to speak. Sure, it was real rough at first, but I've gotten so used to it I rarely mind anymore.
 
Getting something healthy to eat will really help too. A lot of the jittery cracked out feeling may also be in part due to low blood-sugar levels, so forcing yourself to eat something good will really help.
 
^ Second that about eating healthy, especially getting a lot of protein in ya. For instance, I recently discovered that when I drink a lot of milk during comedowns, they tend to pass much more easily. It has to do with the fact, that hard stimulants deplete your body of neurotransmitters (mostly dopamine), so you need to supply the body with "raw materials" (amino acid l-tyrosine for dopamine) to build a new supply.
 
Fruit, yogurt, and water.

A shower.

Xanax/Valium/klonopin.

These always seem to work for me. Staying hydrated and eating something healthy is a must (even when you don't want to).
 
food and sports drinks!

either a strong OTc painkiller/headache thing like advil, or a controlled one like an opiate or fioricet.

a shower/bath

benzo's or barbituates, or alcohol if its all you got.

finally, after all that, and maybe 12 hours of time, sleep!
 
Supplements, food, distracting myself with something like a movie or a book that I can get absorbed in. Alcohol or benzos do help, too.
And just staying aware that the mental stuff is comedown-based. I make a point not to make big decisions or engage in any kind of heavy "relationship" talk when I'm coming down. And I remind myself that hey, whatever you're worrying about is probably nothing, so if it's still a problem tomorrow, deal with it, but put it aside until then...
 
4 mg of Klonopin and 2 Benadryl or any sleep inducing Nighttime formula Cold medicine...mixed together is a guaranteed smooth comedown and fully restorative sleep

I just finished watching Scarface and had to join Tony for some delicious snow at the end...sucky that I'd already taken my comedown cocktail over an hour ago and I'm gonna have to wait for the downers to overtake this high quality shit all over again...fucking can't resist it when I watch Scarface, though...it's mandatory to be prepared with the right stuff on hand whenever I toss it in the DvD player.
 
my usual comedown cure is...

3-4mg alprazolam, weed and maybe a beer or two - followed by lots of sleep
 
benzos!!!! wouldnt amp without emmm 4 comedown, my last instance was nasty as i had crashed and realised fuck i gotz no xanax... here come the depression tearz irritability etc..:(
 
on the verge of coming down off 65mg of D-Amphetamine...

so just ate 4mg alprazolam and it is working wonders...

normally id be irritable, depressed, anxious, and unable to sleep, but the right dose of any benzo depending on tolerance will completely rid you of these negative feelings, leaving you relaxed, happy and capable of a nice long sleep
 
the natural way would be to have a long hot or cold shower and eat healthy foods and stay hydrated. supplement this with the proper vitamins and minerals.

the other way is to take a nice dose of a benzodiazepine and get some rest.

I dont get them anymore. The first time I used crystal i did; got a bit panicky over something. Now, I just make sure Im relaxed, eat healthy and replenish liquids.
 
-downers for sure. even alcohol or benadryl-really.
-a shower.
-deep-breathing, where you inhale long and slow and then exhale even slower, counting as you do so. really works.
-stretching. a walk outside.
-a friend of mine used to swear by lying down without a pillow, on his back, and just resting while awake for 15-30 minutes. it does seem to cut out a lot of comedown-related moodiness, anxiety, worrying, and stuff like that.
-sleep when you are able to
 
Im getting a tolerance to benzo's :( fucking sucks, Banged lots of ritalin(not recommended) last night and had a fuckload of valium. Usually 10-20mg valium or 1-2mg of xanax helps much but I had well over 40mg of valium last night and it just made me think "hey I can do more rit now, lets have a shot" and so on. I was so fucking spun yet there were periods of being so up and rushing, then id nod out and feel like im on opiates. I partially missed 2 shots last night too all coz of the valium, im so glad theres no sign of it there today, especially since I was shooting pills and not the good shit(pure drugs...not shitty pills....at least it only costs $3 for a shot) Abcess's then further blood infections as well as blood clots and stroke are amongst my worst fears. Point being dont get a tolerance to benzo's coz it sucks.


Im sorry people I am royally wasted, so if my rambling means nothing I apologise, im just real keen on speaking my mind atm....krispy kreme for me :D
