SSRIs Making Opiates MORE Euphoric?

I was on SSRIs for many years, including when I first became infatuated with opiates. I just started back on Prozac after a 6-year break and am already noticing a difference in how opiates affect me. Namely, they're way more euphoric on SSRIs. And I crave them more. My codeine use has gone up in the 3 weeks since I've been on Prozac. Tianeptine now floors me.

Any (scientific) reasons this would be happening? I've heard just the opposite from other people--that SSRIs dampen the effects of opiates. Maybe I'm cray-cray? 8(

Prozac is a strong cytochrome P450 2D6 inhibitor. Can't explain why some people find SSRI's to dull opioids while others experience the opposite though. If I had to make a guess, I would say it's because some people are more susceptible to the emotional blunting effects of SSRI's and this may have a perceived impact on the feeling of well being opioids provide.
