Cocaine Something strange is happening...any ideas as to what it is?

I been partying for about 15 years now...the last 5 i've been smoking/iv coke and heroin. I've noticed that when i do a decent amount of coke,my face swells up. anyone know y? besides that...something very weird happens after i do alot of coke. I sleepwalk. (I've made the connection between the 2) I'll fall asleep on my couch in my living room and wake up in the shower (water running and all) or i'll fall asleep in my bedroom and wake up in front of my fridge (door open) pissing all over it! This has happend so many times but ONLY when i do alot of coke during that day. Does anyone know what this is all about?
 
I unapproved several posts which were in no way productive in this discussion. If you aren't going to contribute in a meaningful way, please do not post. In the future it will be warnings and infractions, not just UA's.
 
how does someone become allergic to coke when they been doin it for so many years? the truth is that its not me who this has been happening too, so i dont have anymore detailsn as to what else he is experiancing while this is going on. He is a good family friend. I though if i said it was me that i would get quicker responses but i see thats not the case. Please...if anyone knows anything or can at least point me in the right direction where to look for some more info, that would be a huge help

You might want to look into taking a break from drugs for awhile. It sounds like your body needs to heal. No one can tell you exactly what's going on. We can only speculate. Take a break.
 
^ Exactly. My girlfriend became allergic to bananas only a couple of years ago or so and she had been enjoying them in shakes for years before that.
 
^that would be your prescription. A diagnosis is identifying the nature or cause of something which you have not done.

Sorry but they pay me to be anal... or do anal, I get those mixed up.

Yeah, you are right. I was just trying do a play on words with the "no clean-cut diagnosis" quote.

Speaking of anal.. You could try plugging the coke

That's what I would suspect as well but it's also not unheard of that people are allergic to actual cocaine itself. I would suggest easing up the lever a bit on the heavy use and give your body some time to recover.

You could be having an allergic reaction to the other powder sources cut within or you might just be allergic to cocaine altogether. Either way, I would stop now.. it just seems like it would get worse in the long-run.

I looked into this as well but was unable to find facial swelling as a possible side effect. Also, I believe levamisole is very hard to get out of coke through standard purification processes.
 
apart from the swelling you describe which triggered some fairly responsible comments above by veteran BL's, I can only refer to your other concern and testify that myself and 2 of my session buddies have experienced very similar episodes to what you went on to describe. This happens only when over stretching a session, to like ~48 hours or more and 10-15g each smoked. Incidents include waking up noticing you are now folding dry warm cloths that just came out of the dryer not remembering you washed them or put them them in the dryer to begin with and taken them out. Other incident was waking up holding a loaded pipe ready for a toke but not understanding what a pipe even is, not to mention what it is loaded with and how it got in your hand to begin with.

to somewhat control these dangerous incidents we learned to keep sessions short, occasional and recreational, and in addition take proactive measures to minimize potential damage, such as Hiding your car keys, and misplacing the front door ones.

I should note that in my case it was not mixed with heroin and that a light benzo (xanax) was use for pulse control throughout the session while a stimulant was added for the come downs (stillnox/ambieb) in addition to some more xanax, so the Rx could also be a player in the cause or a catalyst to such incidents and beyond, in addition to the Rocks, which as the wise folks commented could still be cut

my advice keep it short -a 2-4 hr session, take proactive measures, and/or take some time off as the vets BL's advised

p.s. if you dont end your session after such an incident the paranoia takes the over and it extends to something more ugly and undesirable

exactly man, I've been eating almost a box of cheez itz a day since i was 12, up until last year, I suddenly developed a reaction to cheeze its and would break out in a rash along my chest!! i havent touched em since

Allergy to cocaine (or to any drug for that matter) can certainly develop following a serious overdose episode caused by the same drug, from which the person had fully recovered, and the person was not allergic to the drug at the time. This is analogous to the well-known phenomenon where a person would recover from the stings of a whole swarm of bees and a year later is stung by a single bee and dies.

The OP mentioned cocaine + heroin. I wonder if the heroin could have played a role in masking a serious cocaine overdose situation?
 
This is relevant to my interests (sorry) because according to my mom, my father is allergic to cocaine.

The story goes he was having some nasal procedure something-or-other done which required cocaine to be used as a local anesthetic. Apparently after they "administered" it, he started seizing.

I've always been a bit doubtful of this story, is it remotely possible for someone to be THAT allergic to coke? It sounds like a fear-inducing story to keep me from doing it, but there's still the chance this actually happened. I've just never heard of anyone having such an adverse reaction. sorry to derail a little bit! :)

A person who is severely allergic to cocaine can actually have convulsions and go into anaphylactic shock immediately upon administering the drug. I have read in a book that a semi-responsible method to find out whether or not a person is allergic to cocaine is snorting 1/4 (a quarter of) a line. Waiting 30 minutes and if no adverse reaction and one feels comfortable then increase the dose every 30 minutes to 1/2, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 lines (the normal dose), depending on reaction and comfort level. It is essential to wait 30 min in between.
 
About the sleepwalking, my guess is that's down to coke being a stimulant. My Mum is a big sleepwalker and it seems to correlate with her anxiety issues, similar kinds of chemicals at play.
