Hi

I have some questions on nifoxipam please.

1) What is it's half life?
2) What is it's equivalent diazepam dose?

I had a good google about but couldn't find easy access to this info, not even on the equivalency table.

I don't take it myself as I used to be prescribed diazepam and had to wean off, but I have a mate who likes all these new research benzos.
I take the odd zolpidem as its only got a 2hr half life, so I know its out my system.
My friend says he had about 42 nifoxipam over the weekend. I told him I was worried but made sure he knew I wasn't getting at him or telling him off for it, as it's up to him, I just don't wanna see anyone going through horrible benzo withdrawals as I had them, especially a friend, and as he takes loads of different benzos daily, he might get worse withdrawals than I had.

Anyway, I understand as nifoxipam is only a new benzo I may not be able to get the right info, but if anyone can tell me as accurately approximate half life and equivalent to diazepam I would be really grateful.

Hi, I also have been searching for information without much luck. I definitely remember reading (sorry can't remember where) that it is a prodrug for Flunitrazepam, meaning when you take it your body converts it from Nifoxipam to Flunitrazepam. So I would perhaps use the Flunitrazepam entry as a starting point in the table. I plan to trial it shortly, if I remember I'll stop back and report to you my findings.
