so i'll lay the groundwork, any input would be appreciated.

i've played soccer all my life, with the exception of the first couple years (when i was too young to know any brands and differences) i've worn adidas and have always been happy with them. in retrospect however, i've never had top dollar boots or anything so i've never TRULY experienced maximum comfort as i've been more or less purchasing for price rather than comfort and control.

even during indoor, i've always worn adidas, but my indoor shoes always have given me a few problems as far as comfort goes, though i never knew whether that should be chalked up to the surface i was on or the footwear i was wearing. a couple years ago, however, i was talking to a friend and fellow soccer player who said he's never been a fan of adidas as they've always been uncomfortable to him, mostly because of the narrowness.

so a couple years ago, i purchased a new pair of boots for the spring/summer/fall. remembering what he said i decided to try a different brand as i've ALWAYS worn adidas and was looking to expand my game as far as comfort and feel goes. i figured if i try something else, i'll have more of a basis for decision so i bought a pair of nikes, though still looking for a deal. so even though i branched out and tried a new brand, i still was somewhat skimming the surface on what was on the market.

there aren't a ton of places around me that sell soccer equipment, let alone GOOD soccer equipment, so i decided to take my voyage online and see what's out there. anyways, this is getting long winded so i suppose i should just cut to the chase.

i need new boots! i'm willing to spend money on them, but don't wanna break the bank either. probably $150 USD would be around my limit, MAYBE even as high as $200 if they're backed by credible sources and all signs point to them being worth every penny.

now for the details that may or may not be relevant (some are, some aren't):

-i'm typically a midfielder or striker.
-i'm right footed, but have a better left footed shot.
-i have pretty good footwork and make a lot of small touches.
-i'm not a particularly muscular build, about 5'10" 150 lbs.
-i wear about a 9.5 US or 10 (my nikes are 9.5, but are a little tight).
-i'll be playing on a soft surface (grass... sometimes muddy).
-i'm a fast runner and rely on speed, stop and go, and cutting, to beat opponents.
-i'm more of a passer than a shooter (but will be shouldering more weight for shooting this season).

so i'm curious about good brands, lines, models, etc. what's gonna be the most comfortable, give me the most control on my shot, etc. what's gonna last the longest. basically any information that may help me find a good pair of boots (preferably before april 19th). adidas, nike, puma, mizuno, pantofola d'oro, asics, whatever. throw everything at me and i'll filter the information i need.

btw, links to articles on performance and reviews, etc are welcomed as well. thanks in advance.

i like the superflys, but not that color combo.

there's a pair of pantofola d'oros that i REALLY like, but i don't feel like blowing $440 on a pair of designer boots when i can get a good pair for under $200 that ALSO look ballin. :D

Talk to people on your team. Try on their boots. That's the best way to get a feel for different makes. At least that's what we all used to do....

I have found Adidas to be the best brand for me these are the ones i have and i love them, sturdy, stood up to daily playing in shitty weather and with proper studs not blades. They're not that expensive but you can get a cheaper version for about £40 iirc Yeah they aint flashy but as a Roy Keane esque midfielder neither am I lol

Anything that will make the average soccer game score 3 points instead of 2, I'll support 100%

for whatever reason, i can't get that prodirect site to work.

regardless, i ordered some turfs for indoor/outdoor when the ground is dry and hard. they're the adidas adipure TRX turfs... blue! kangaroo leather upper, ballin as fuck. i've already scored 2 goals in 1 game with them.

i may get another decent pair of spikes for the softground in the spring and the rainy days.
