They voted at the end of the meeting. (PDAC is Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee)

Do the available data show that the drug is effective in patients with posttraumatic stress disorder?
9 no, 2 yes

Do the benefits of midomafetamine with FDA's proposed risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) outweigh its risks for the treatment of patients with PTSD?
10 no, 1 yes

I don't even.

Erhm actually based on 11 retards with no experience in the matter- MDMA is useless medically- source- trust me bro.

Links?

Edit: found one

Obvious these people only serve industry, which needs people with PTSD to keep taking SSRI's, benzos and antipsychotics. Im not opposed to those drugs on their own but its obvious people with PTSD are given these instead of proper treatment.

Just do what I do, get some MDMA and give out doses to those in your life affected by PTSD and educate them on HR. Not the same as a true therapeutic setting but better than nothing.

Fuck the FDA
Fuck the DEA
Fuck the USA

This is not the "Land of the free" whatsoever. It's the land of the sick, suffering, dying & incarcerated.

These gestapo groups have no problem getting paid off by corporations to poison us left & right. They poison our food, our medicine, our water ways & our planet, but YOU'RE the "criminal" if you use drugs to enhance the quality of your life.

They just gave Tyson foods a pass after they knowingly dumped toxic waste into tons of US lakes & rivers.

So sick of this shit. And the masses are too braindead & lazy to care about this very important bodily autonomy issue.

Even if they had approved it, you know they would have placed insane regulations & rules around it. Just like they did with ketamine. IE - not covered by any state insurance (so not accessible to poor people), hundreds of dollars for one session, can't use it at home, still a 'controlled substance', etc.. etc..

Quoting my friend who is in psychedelic research

"Yep. Really sucks. Apparently maps was told about several things they should be doing in their trial by FDA and didn't, but also partially FDA fault for not ensuring everything necessary was in the application"

MAPS fucked up here, big time. Any medical professional could've told anybody how straight up fucked their methodology was. Is much as we love to blame the FDA here (and similar institutions), as hesitant I'm to admit it, they actually did it right here.

And yes, I do think MDMA is therapeutic and should be used for such purposes as well. Well, not always, but it does have it's uses for sure.

Ars Technica has a good overview of the various fuck-ups MAPS/Lykos did: Flawed, scandalous trials tank FDA expert support for MDMA therapy

Wow, I figured this would be open and shut. Especially since re-scheduling MDMA was never on the table. They DEA always reschedules the specific formula of the pharmaceutical including binders and all, and leaves the psychoactive substance illicit

That's a shame. MDMA makes a TON of sense as a beneficial resource for generating vulnerability in PTSD patients therapy

I hear you all that MAPS could have done better. My point is that when you say that about traditional pharmaceuticals, they still get approved.

Despite the valid criticisms, there seemed to have been a significant bias on display.

Not gonna read all but just the neurotransmitter mention is lacking, they ve low iq? Or just enemies.

Oxytocin, the magical ingredient, no mention. Overhere their stupid too. With the so called MDMA assisted therapy.
Using a RC chemical not ment for human consumption openly. But at leats aware of Oxytocin release being just as important,
concerning treating PTSD. Its not just some Serotonine and Dopamine or agonazing a certain 5HT receptor.

Its obvious they know less then me and you.

Lets hope our University hospital/ UMC A*dam, which are credible hospitals. Pretty much the best.
I expect a professional from them, starting on kids , seeemed weird first. But after some logical reasoning,
a kid cured has a whole life ahead. So then it made sense. Adults will have to practice patience, youth goes first.
Like it should.
