Snorting with a cold

I've got three .5mg Xanax sitting around that I want to get rid of. I'm in the middle of a cold, and I'm fairly congested, although I can somewhat breath through my nose. Can I rail these benzo's up tonight, or would I be better off swallowing them? If I did rail them, which I'd rather do, could the congestion "block" the absorbtion of the Xanax and therefore end up wasting my benzo's?

Unless i came over to youre house,to see how much snot there is in youre nose,i dont think anyone could tell you if it will absorb or not.
You are the best judge of that.

Truly unbelievable……… Why in the world would you snort a Xanax anyway?….just cant wait ½ an hour? Are you really that impatient? Or are you one of the fools who still thinks you can snort benzos? Xanax, like valium, is not absorbed through the nasal mucosa well, if at all really. You snort it, and it drips into your stomach like eating it. Don’t be a complete fucking idiot and snort a pill while you have a cold, eat it and have a cup of soup.

Xanax is quite snortable. It isn't water soluble but it will still (albeit slightly slower) get absorbed. And add to that it doesn't burn in the least. But still if your nose is stuffy just eat them.

heres an answer instead of a plea for free benzos..dont snort them when youre sick especially..it will waste it, also...eating them has the same result as snorting for me, in fact it works better when i eat em...
 
Well I heeded Dr. Quacks advice from earlier and swallowed them, worked fine. I ended up passing out for about 4 hours, then woke up feeling normal so this time I didn't really get an enjoyable high, oh well, it's probably because I'm sick

You can snort anything that will fit in your nose. (well not EVERYTHING that would fit) It doesn’t mean it is the most logical thing to do. The absorption rate for benzos in the nasal mucosa is terrible, Try dissolving it in water and you will see why. It would be faster to get the effect from the drug by sucking on the thing, til it is broken up ( or crushing) and swallowing it, where it is absorbed readily and quickly. The way god intended. Why is it that people insist on snorting benzos? I don’t get it….. can someone explain it to me? I am obviously missing something here. I have tried it, and I compared the same dosage crushed and swallowed , and for me it was a far faster to swallow with both xanax and valium. There was no rush like cocaine or meth , you snort it and it is just like taking the pill. There may be subtle differences in absorption but in 45 min it is the same damn high. What gives?
 
Dr. Quack... I've learned that snorting vs. oral route with xanax doesn't make much of a difference, but the last time I took some, I finished the night by sniffing .25mgs... you ask why?
Putting powders up your nose is fun! just as long as it doesn't burn like an SOB
