Snorting ritalin questions.

hey guys been snoritng rit awhile.

i need tips and some write or wrong..

First one is..

Does your nose have to be dry.. Meaning Q tips until its not. in order for the pill to work with most effect.
And also putting water in your nose right after the line. does that help or make it worse.
and another thing is. if you dont feel the burn, does that mean its proally not gonna work...

I'm not that familiar with methlyphenidate but assuming it is viable nasally water is going to help dissolve the ions and keep your nasal membrane healthy. Just be sure you don't snort so much liquid that the medication drips down the back of your throat and is taken orally.

depending on what brand (is it actual ritalin?) the IR tabs are usually pretty small....(compared to something like adderall where the tabs are much bigger for the same amount of the active ingredient).....snorting methlyphenidate for me always brought on a much different high than if taken orally, i also remembering needing less (better BA% i assume). a much better high, just at a shorter duration. reminded me of coke. actually i'd prefer ritalin > some coke of the shitty coke i've gotten in the passed. idk if it was just me or maybe i'm mistaken since it has been a while...but sniffed methlyphenidate gave me a more euphoric high than oral adderall IR (i dosed pretty high before too).

i would recommend not having your nose completely dry, but not dripping either. put a lil lotion or something in the inside if you know you're gonna be sniffing a lot so it doesn't get irritated...plus the purpose of sniffing a drug is too get it to be absorbed in the nasal membrane....so sniffing huge lines or a super dry nose might lead a lot to be 'dripped' down into your stomach where it will get absorbed...for methlyphenidate it isn't too bad, but some drugs like coke have a very low oral BA% so i think some would be wasted.....someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Put the water in before, not after. A single wet Q-Tip should be sufficient.

It's not Ritalin if you feel a burning sensation.

Yeah the way to do it is to tilt your head back after you've snorted the line(s) and wash it down with some water. It makes no difference if you're nose is dry because the ritalin will irritate the mucous glands and stimulate mucous production. On the contrary though you want your nasal cavity to be wet because IINM the drug can only be absorbed when its dissolved in water. From what I remember, it only burns when it is dissolved in water. The burning sensation is usually followed by a numbing sensation.

Nasam membranes are meant to be slightly moist - it is healthy for them, dried out membranes are more easily irritated and damaged and you are more likely to get a nosebleed. They will absorb the drug better if not dried out too. In general you shouldn't need to moisten your nose beforehand unless you have hayfever or a cold, but it certainly won't hurt and might help. Using a nasal douche before after snorting a line is a good way of keeping your nose healthy and reduce irritation, while giving you the best chance of absorbing the drug through the nasal membranes rather than it dripping down the back of your nose.
