Heroin Smoking Methods

When I smoke heroin I use a bic lighter, aluminium foil and a long 3/8" brass pipe. That's been my kit for a while. I've tried other stuff for the heat source like a candle, but have found that a bic works the best.

Has any one had any luck using something else? Candles seem not to work very well, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has had any luck with any other means of applying heat. Maybe a zippo or something.

It just seems like there might be a better, and more efficient, way of heating it up. I smoke tar by the way. I'm wondering if higher/lower temperature may affect it. For example, I've noticed that using thinner foil is better than the heavy duty stuff. So maybe a hotter flame would help vaporize the tar better and result in less loss of H.


Anybody got anything good?

I used candles with great results (plus I'm saving the environment by not using disposable plastic lighters). Don't use any torch lighters, hotter flame won't help vaporize the tar, but it WILL result in significant loss of H. With practice, (De Ja Vu I literally juse was saying this in another thread about smoking meth) using aluminum foil is often preferred by experienced users because you have so much more control over the heating/cooling. Remember, the stuff you actually want is a vapor and will be much less visible than the "smoke" created as a result of burning and wasting your H. So patience is key. One of the only situations where a bic lighter is warranted is smoking Salvia, or when your vaporizing a chemical that vaporizes well and does NOT burn under high-heat.

Remember, opiates are all destroyed easily by heat

In the past I used tea candles and didn't have very good results, but last night I tried with a large proper candle and it worked much better than the bic. Thanks for the tip tricomb.

The problem I found with candles is that they don't generally have a very steady flame, which makes the heat harder to control. Zippos would fall into a similar category. The kind of Bic lighter you're on about is just a regular gas flame isn't it, not the torch kind Tricomb mentions for Salvia? I've used candles and tapers twisted from toilet roll when I had to but a lighter for me always won hands down.

The steadiness of the flame means you have very precise control over heat: how near the tip of the flame is to the foil vertically, and how close it is to the beatle you're running horizontally. With practice you'll be able to run lines with very little loss due to burning, more or less just stroking it along the foil by bringing the flame in a little for a fraction of a second, and then moving away and backing off with the heat. Harder to that with a variable flame IME.

I tend to notice with the thinner foil it seems to get more holes and almost seems like you're smoking the foil too (which is awful for you), i used to use a butane torch lighter and heavy duty foil.

i usually smoke mine with thick foil so i dont get holes in it,and a normall lighter, i used a candle once but found my gear tasted of candle! (not very nice) the best way i have ever smoked heroin was when an old hippy friend of mine introduced me to tongs!!! he got a glass bottle with the bottom broken off and put a little bit of the gear (about half a bag) into a tiny square and wraped it up then heated two kitchen knives till they were red hot and put the foil in them with the bottle ontop and i had the best buzz i have ever had!!!! i was gouching for about 4 hours! the high was so intense i was sick a few times.

A torch lighter can be used, just got to keep the tip of the flame 6 inches away fro the foil.

I've heard of some who hot railed powdery tar. It's were you get a glass tube, heat one end with a torch or gas stove, and snort the drugs. If done right the drugs will instantly vaporize without burning. If done wrong, you'll snort hot liquid drugs. I heard it's the next best thing to IV. Might be a good idea to put something to catch any ashes.
