well i recently harvested a few very nice buds off my plants. My issue is they have only been drying one day (still very wet). I really want to smoke tonight but dont have any properly dried and cured ganj. Can i smoke these fresh buds? how will the effects or potency be affected?

awesome. I have a nice roots bong with a large bowl. haha im so releived to know this will work because iv'e heard smoking fresh weed doesnt do shit because the thc hasnt been de-carboxylated. Is that just a myth?

you can wait for your buds to dry. plus, if you're selling then i'm sure you know where to get some within .364 seconds.

I believe the method that works best is to wrap it in foil and bake it at 125-150 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes. Poke holes in the foil with a toothpick in just a few spots. If it's very wet it may need a longer time but after a while, you start losing potency.

Yeah as stated above, you can smoke em, but they won't be as potent..

Personally I would just buy a bag if you wana smoke now and let your harvest dry properly, you'll be glad you did ;)

have it on top of a light in a box. a paper bag, it will cure pretty quick that way

Its best to just let it dry, but a microwave or putting it on a low temp in an oven would work, I'd go with the lowest temp possible, and I would think its fine to do for a few buds, just don't do it to your whole harvest.

if youre drying off enough to get you by i always go the paper towel lined tupperware dish, then u wet a paper towel and squeeze it so its just damp and put it on top of the dish, then put the lid on but not tightly. microwave it for a couple of minutes, its absorbs all the moisture out of the weed. its the most effective way ive found to get it dried properly, much more effective than ive found putting weed in an oven or direct heat source to be.

that said, best to just let it dry tho.

You can always bake it into something instead. I'd let it cure, I'm surprised nobody warned you about the taste of uncured bud: GAAH.

Yeah, you can smoke it, but I'd experiment by smoking just a bit to see how you like it.

^-- I thought uncured bud would taste just as good as long as you properly flush the live plants for harvest with pure water for at least a week or two.

(read: always feed hydroponic plants pure water for the last 2 weeks before harvest - no nutrients)

anyhow, has anyone ever heard of a cannabis quick-cure with silica gel, like some people do with mushrooms and silica gel?

the potency isnt full untill its fully cured so if its just been cured one day it would b week

i put some fresh buds in the microwave once and they became alot less potent, even to when the bud was just smoked as is off the plant, i suggest if your going to dry out with something, use a light, oven like said above, or just do it the proper way.

you need to dry them out or you will get bud rot, get it in your boiler room if you have to watch out it will make your house smell.

not a dime before it's time :)

however... i have found that vaporizors work well for fresh bud. just don't pack too much in and you should have a tasty treat in no time.

if not, you can always take a piece of a paper towel and drop it into a bowl, set the bud on top and then cover the bowl with a somewhat damp paper towel. microwave at 5 second intervals until desired :)

fresh cannabinoids can be decarboxylated the same way dried buds are.

just by heating them.

dried buds are not already decarboxylated :)

Let them dry completely (usually 3-8 days depending on how large, and dense the plants are......) Hang em upside down and down tie the bundles tight or you may get but rot.... I make sure to keep my air conditioning at 69 round the clock and have two fans blowing at them in my closet at all times. I leave 1 osciilating and the other just dead on straight. I also throw in a very small dehumidifier that doesn't require a power source. it has silica balls that absorb the water..... After that I proceed to cure the buds in glass mason jars. Put in a cool dark place, and burp (open) the jars for 30-60 minutes a day and re arrange the buds a little bit. And make sure you don't cram to many buds into 1 jar! The curing process will not only bring out flavor, but a smoother burning pot, and a small increase in potency as well!!!!

Pretty good advice there but to add to this, I do it completely different we stick a electric oil filled radiator under them, I put it under a big white net and have a fan blowing on it, MAKE SURE ITS IN PITCH BLACK! again light + freshly cut weed = BUD ROT!
I was a little too high when I posted last on here
