Not sure if this is related to anything, but I was listening to Slipknot's hit song "Wait and Bleed" and I just came up with this interpretation...
In this format:
Lyrics here [my interpretation of lyrics]
WAIT AND BLEED
I've felt the hate rise up in me... [heroin=hate/bad]
Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves...
I wander over where you can't see... [you can’t see what he sees when he’s high]
Inside my shell, I wait and bleed... [during his high he stays there and is slowly dieing, or bleeding]
Goodbye!
I wipe it off on tile, the light is brighter this time [prepare the heroin on a mirror, or tile]
Everything is 3D blasphemy [now that he’s high, everything is wonderful]
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up [explains how fucked up he looks]
This is not the way I pictured me [he never thought he’d be a heroin addict]
I can't control my shakes [physically shaking is one of the (after)effects heroin]
How the hell did I get here? [confused about how he’s an addict or confused about his current high]
Something about this, so very wrong... [he knows that heroin is bad to use]
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this [wishes he didn’t like heroin so much]
Is it a dream or a memory?[since he uses so much, he doesn’t know if he’s fantasizing/dreaming or thinking about it]
/chorus/
Get outta my head cuz I don't need this [he doesn’t want to be addicted or he wants the high to go away]
Why I didn't I see this? [him becoming an addict]
I'm a victim - Manchurian candidate [he is a victim of his heroin addiction]
I have sinned by just
Makin' my mind up and takin' your breath away [making his mind up to use again even though he knows its wrong]
/chorus/
You haven't learned a thing [about his heroin problem]
I haven't changed a thing [he’s been an addict for a while now]
My flesh was in my bones
The pain was always free [the sickness/pain he got from not using was free/ he didn’t spend money on a bag]
/chorus/
And it waits for you! [because your so ignorant, heroin addiction waits for you/anybody]
Anyone agree, disagree?

Corey often said that his lyrics are very generalized and open to interpretation

could be about many things

Someone who slit their wrist and is now waiting for death
someone mourning a loved one (Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves...) - that's how i always interpreted the song. (Goodbye)
someone addicted
someone who has lost their grip on reality

yeah, but that's the beautiful thing about Slipknot songs, you can make the interpretation, and the song will deliver many different options
