Sleeping while on E causes death?

From what i've "heard" from most people who take E around here (San francisco, CA) is that you can not sleep while you are rolling, or else you'll die or something equally horrible will happen to you. I personally don't see why not? i have never tried it, because my friends that tell me not to sleep have about 4/5 years of Experiance where as i have done it about 4 times. but of course, it may just be a popular rumor around here?

The only reasons ive heard so far is "dont sleep until youre pupils are completly un dialated cause that means your brain is done being overworked or else you'll die" and it doesnt sound too reasonable to me.

any medical/personal insight would help!

A complete myth - the only problem that may occur is that you can't get to sleep while still 'on' E! It defies me why people start such ridiculous stories.
 
Reasons? For what? For people inventing complete nonsense?

The facts are that you are extremely unlikely to be able to sleep while still 'up', 'rolling' on E - and here I'm talking about MDMA - as it's a stimulant as well as an empathagen. Common adulterants are generally amphetamine based which will make sleep even more unlikely.

Once you are able to drop off you're as likely to have good/bad dreams as you would normally have.

The truth is that you've picked up on a lot of ignorant scaremongering.

Relax.

Your friends have been doing it 4/5 years? I've been doing it over 20 years - whether my eyes have been completely undilated or not when I've fallen to sleep I haven't a clue - because it really doesn't matter.

The fact is that I'm still here to tell you that you've nothing at all to worry about!
 
Reason would probably be that it doesn't make any sense (this story about 'overworked brain' & dying).

And yeah, I've slept on E and nothing particular happened, except that it is really difficult to get to sleep and it's not really resting. Also, I've noticed that during sleep, unvoluntary teeth grinding continues, so the jaw is pretty painful after waking up.

Dreams? This 'sleep' really feels more like passing out than anything else. I've noticed that dreams are more intensive during the next night (24h after taking the drug).
 
My boyfriend slept like 3 hours later from taking an E,he felt asleep with an inhaler in his nose and with his jaw clenjching,when he woke up,like 6 hours later,he said he was rolling balls!!!!
 
yeh its a myth ive had a fucked week worked hardcore and was realy exausted but still wanted to drop with my mates, well i droped then went back to my mates car and fell asleep next thing you know i woke up and we were on the way home and i felt realy good was kind of anoying cause i wasted the night+drugs but hey MYTH BUSTED
 
fuck that i cant sleep on it. but i do want to drop and go to sleep and be waken by my peak, not sure if it will work but one day i will try
 
I've come close to what must have *looked* like falling alseep but felt a hell of a lot more like passing out! Cos everyone started propping me up and entertaining me and telling me not to fall asleep, cos it would be a waste.

best reason not to fall asleep: you'll miss fun stuff!
 
To the original poster:

When someone tells you such random crap in the future, tell them you won't believe them unless they can explain its substantive pharmacology to you first. Even then, come onto Bluelight and try to verify that pharmacology.

Beyond that, use some friggin common sense.
If it were dangerous to sleep while on MDMA, it would be in the MDMA FAQ!

Actually I remember 2 or 3 times where I took a pill(all the time with MDA in them, wouldn't waste MDMA pills) after an e-night just before going to bed. astonishing visuals, agreeable sleep, that's all I remember pretty much. Oh yeah, and lots of memory loss :)

In my country, and for me(people differ) when the pills are good, I'm sure to get some sleep. When they're mixed with all kind of uppers, it becomes less likely, and the thought alone of the wrecked day-after feeling makes me feel like shit.
 
I'm sorry if this was already posted or if I am not addressing the right thing..... but..

When you roll, eventually you will fall asleep while E is still in your system. So we all fall asleep while on E.
 
I've gone to bed after i've started to come down. It is a little harder to get asleep but i didn't die...

The only time i really 'cant' sleep is when there is speed in the pill...
 
Got this mate, don't matter how munted he is, you give him a joint & he's gone.

He'd have died about a hundred times by now LOL
 
I can say ive slept while rolling, the only weird thing that happened was if nobody in the room talked for about 5seconds id drift of into my own little dream while still fully awake, then when somebody would talk id come back to, actually kinda cool, some weird shit =P. thought i was in subway =P haha peace
