I want to talk about what we call "sketchin`" its when someone is usaully coming down off white or reduced amphetimines and they get down on the floor and intensly investigate for dropped pieces. Ive had someone pick off my sweater go through my cereal boxes in hopes of scoring a percious piece of clear hehe ! The worst case ive ever heard was this dude outside during the day picking through his friends gravel driveway! what a phuckin heat score!
oh well just thought i let everyone know how phuckin hard it can be to come down but ew phuck it pass the glass!

Man I hate how you start to look on the floor. Fuck it is SUCH A WASTE OF TIME 80% of the time. I have this one friend, who I sometimes smoke crack with. And holy shit. When this guy starts looking.....like he FUCKING LOOKS FOR A LONG TIME. It gets sooooooooooo annoying some times. Like I try not to get agitated, but sometimes it gets ridiculous. He'll go over the same spot, over, and over, and over, and over. I'll have to say, "okay dude, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but we need to hurry up. We've been in the garage a long ass time and the more u look the more time we waste" lol.

But I guess the main reason it gets to me is the fact that when he starts to look, he usually start to look after he's smoked his hit - and is supposed to pass the pipe so I can do mine - but he doesn't. He just holds it in his hand the whooooooooole time while looking - and god it gets so annoying waiting for the pipe when u already have the drugs in ur hand lol.

I'm not saying I never look either, but before I start looking I plan out what section I'll be looking in, and once I'm done I'll stop. I won't go over the same spot about 5 times, then move to a different spot, then go back to the same spot, then another different spot, and then go over those 3 spots 7 times in a row.

It is such a waste of time - although sometimes you find something worth it. But most of the times that happens - it's within a minute of looking....not 20mins in...on the same spot.
 
hahah yeah ive done my fair share of picking through lint and rocks and crumbs. Dont fuck with the crystal anymore, but ive actually done that with tar. I always smoke in the same area of my room and if i ever start to get sick ill look through the carpet and drawers and pick out everything that could be heroin. Normally theres a few little flakes, but one time i thought i hit the jackpot and found like a point sized piece, looked and smoked exactly like tar but definitely wasnt. Still wonder about that, was probably dried soy sauce or something.
 
ugh. been there.

the worst thing that can possibly happen though is for you to one day find some. i actually found about .3g of coke stuck under my desk once, and it kept me sketchin for hours to come.
 
has anybody really ever found anything down there?
I know i haven't.... that's (one of the many reasons) why I am definitely not an "upper" person at all.
 
god i hate doing that. i did that for about an hour the other day when i dropped a nice piece of tar on my enormous carpet. the whole time i was cursing and yelling. i found it eventually on the bottom of my shoe :(
 
I'm more of a neat freak than a carpet searcher. When I'm scattered/tweaking/sketching I obsessively tidy my house.

Housework actually seems quite fascinating when I'm like that. :)
 
It's usually stims esp crystal and more, more, more, type drugs which create this obsessive, stereotypical behaviour, can't say i'v never ransacked my room when i had gulped down my Methylphenidate early. very sad and pathetic
 
hahaha this is a great topic. Shamefully I have been guilty of this, after running out sometimes. It's so ridiculous because i KNOW damn well I didn't fuckin drop anything, but *just in case!*. One time I did get lucky and find one pill, so now I hold onto that hope with all my sketchin times.
 
i remember this one time i was coming down and remembered i had a little bag left some where in my house.
so there i was at 4 in the mornning ripping apart my whole house trying to find this little fucking bag haha
just saddd...haha
 
Haven't done that in a while, but did spend ~ 2 hours searching through the carpet with a flashlight when tweaking once, with no result. Ended up finding the missing chunk of speed 3 days later.
 
one time coming down from mephedrone i proceeded to get the bags from on top of my trashcan and turn them all inside out, sprinkling out what was left until i just enough for "one more line." bleh.
 
Count me as one that's done it, and found something. I had been on a 3 day meth binge. I had gotten an 8 ball of really, really good crystal. Early on in the binge I had attempted to force a slightly over sized piece of glass down the fat end of the pipe.
It was slightly too big, but I figured fuck it, I wanted to smoke the fucking puddle, and didn't feel like taking the 10 seconds to shave off a piece. When I forced it down in I swore a piece broke, and went shooting off. I wasn't sure, and didn't care to look at that time, given the fact that I still had most of a ball of meth.
So fast forward 2 and a half days. I'm starting to run low. Starting to get all sketched and nervous about running out. Then I remember shoving that chunk of meth into the pipe. At that point I commenced the carpet surfing. I looked fucking everywhere, with a flashlight shining just above the surface of the carpet, so that i could pick up anything that shined.
After at least a half hour to an hour of this I found it! A big, clear, beautiful piece of crystal methamphetamine. It was larger than I anticipated, and yes I'm a fucking idiot for having tried to shove it into the bowl.
So yeah, it took me an hour to finish smoking the thing. I then recommenced the carpet surfing, pretty fucking sure another piece must have broken off at some point in the last couple years. I don't really miss those days.
