Six Flags Magic Mountain

So I just went last weekend and got the season pass. Has anyone here been on Tatsu? Thats probably my favorite ride at magic mountain. They should get rid of Superman the Ride and just change the name of Tatsu to Superman because Tatsu gives you the feeling like your flying.

So whats everyone's favorite ride at magic mountain?
 
I've only been to the one in/near St. Louis, MO. I can remember what its name was. Six Flags over Mid America?

It really blew compared to Disney World, and a lot of other theme parks, mostly because the lines for the roller coasters, etc were soooo long. I remember waiting like an hour and a half in the searing heat to ride one of the roller coasters.

Magic Mountain is the one in Texas, right?

I need to go down there sometime I guess and check it out.
 
Magic Mountain is the one in Southern California. The lines can get pretty long for a couple of the rides. I remember waiting about an hour for Tatsu. A couple of rides were being remodeled so that could have been part of the reason. I've never been to Disney World but I've been to Disneyland. I can't say I could compare the 2 since Disneyland isn't so much about the roller coasters and more about the themed rides.
 
Tatsu is cool, really cool, but I still like Scream and X more. I can't wait for X2 to be open to the public. Season passes rock too, I've had one for 4 years in a row.
 
tatsu is one of my faves, goliath and batman are as well. i didn't really like X since it was so fuckin rough! my head hurt for a few hours afterward.

i usually try to hit up the park during the week so all of the lines are shorter (kids are in school!) and i usually try and avoid going during the summer since it's like 150 out in valencia.

i have a free ticket that i've been wanting to use but it's not valid until march so i'm waiting.
 
Hey we should do a 6 flags meetup!!! I have been dying to go and get the season pass. I was going to go last weekend but it was rained out. :(. What do you guys think? PM me if you guys are interested.
 
I've always told people that if I get a bitch pregnant, I'm buying her a season pass to Six Flags (magic mountain)

(I'm in the LA area too - I'm down. Plus I have a fucked up leg and a wheelchair so I can get us into the front of all the lines - no kidding.)
 
Nice. My mom was born with 1.5 legs and did that for us at Disneyland. How does mid to late march sound?

Awesome. X2 is opening. Sweet. I have always wanted to ride X, but every time I went to magic mountain, it was closed. Do you know if after the upgrade, they are still going to have to close it every wednesday to check the cars like they used to?

I am so going to magic mountain when X reopens. I am going to ride that ride somehow before they take it away.

Also, I have heard that they are considering removing deja vu... They have always had problems with that ride, and the maintenence is just getting too much to handle. They have already removed it's sister rides at their other parks. Anyone else heard about that? I remember DejaVu as the one ride that actually induced fear in me--there was a distinct feel of adrenaline when I got pulled up the vertical and you look straight down as the ground. I was giddy for like an hour afterwards.
 
I was on the third or fourth train of tatsu ever :D although that ride gets tiring after 32 rides in a day lol.

That park is fun but it has its problems. Bad employes arent that much fun. I wouldnt try to be going down to socal to get there if they didnt have riddlers revenge it is an awsome ride. Oh yea and im in norcal :P but just a coaster enthusiest if I get a chance to get down there ill post up when :D
 
Good catch GE! I just went today and goy my pass. I had a great / strange trip. Well nee to go soon it will be great.
 
just some news theres gonna be a new coaster for 2009. Not another spinner clone, but they havnt said what kind.
 
I've been to disneyland and knotts a ton but never to magic mountain. I dunno why, you all go yet? I may be interested.
