Not on a train, sadly.
I discovered this phenomenon when I was in Japan last year. As soon as I got familiar with a place as my workplace, a switch seems to flip in my head and I get extremely lethargic. Sitting down and not doing anything engaging in particular will most definitely lead to automatic nodding off. At one point I'd drink 3 cups of coffee, back to back, sit down, get jittery.... and nod off :X

It is always the same, if I stop any kind of activity, I get zombified, and suddenly I find myself waking up after a nod. If I don't try to occupy myself with something else, another one will happen, and so on. Once in Japan it actually happened even while I was standing up! I caught myself falling.

Since then, this has happened in every single workplace I've been in.

My energy level is irrelevant, caffeine is irrelevant, other drugs are irrelevant, amount of sleep the night before is irrelevant. It simply will happen.

What's even more mindblowing is that right when I walk out of the door of my workplace, the effect cancels. I am perfectly awake.

Going back to the work place a 2nd time, however, will reactivate the effect :\

Can anyone make any sense of this?
