Hello,
Recently i started using heroin (sniffed) the first time i did it a couple months ago i did way to much and got very sick, it took a couple months for me to try it again and noticed i needed an entire bag to get where i wanted to be so i did one in the morning and 1 at night. The next day i had to do 2 bags, then 1 with some xanax to get high. I took a day off did some more now its taking 3-4 bags to get high...why does tolerance raise so high? Also this morning and yesterday i woke up with huge head aches and wanted some dope. Is this a sign of psychological addiction? I've been doing it 5-6 days out of the past like 7. Am i playing with fire?

If you have any brains at all you will take the advice that everone is about to give you: STOP NOW!

You may feel a little uncomfortable for maybe a week, but for the most part walk away unscathed.

You have been warned.

Am i playing with fire?

I think you know the answer to this. Totally agree with Dreib. Everybody who sees your post will think the same thing.

Now is your chance to get out, before you're in too deep.

You might experience PAWS - post acute withdrawl syndrome, which could hit you after the acute physical withdrawls have past (if this is your first time the physical withdrawls probably wont be too bad after only 6 days). Symptoms of PAWS are chiefly a very depressed, hollow, bleak empty feeling. And its fuckin tough to get through. This is why i havent been able to stay off opiates yet, after going though all the physical withdrawls only to soon go back to them as i couldnt cope with the PAWS, but im working on it. Fuckin PAWS.

I dont know about the timescales required to develop a chance of experiencing PAWS, but if you quit NOW, you might be able to avoid the worst of it all together.

If it does hit you, it's something you need to be aware of, and be very strong for a few days, and its likely to make you crave opiates like hell, just to improve your psychological state. I bet you didnt know quite how much you really are playing with fire. I didnt know about PAWS and all that shit until I got hit by it.

Please quit while you can. Order some Kratom if the idea of withdrawals scare you.

Bro you're playing with fire at the gas station.

Your showing signs of reckless drug abuse, mixing benzodiazepines with opioid narcotics 8) 8) 8)

Your also showing signs of physical and psychological addiction.

i've yet to see a recreational heroin user. get yourself some help before you lose everything you hold dear...

not that it's terribly common, but i've used heroin plenty of times and never gotten physically addicted. not that i'm advocating doing it mind, i'm just saying that it can be done. then again i've been hopelessly addicted to a shitload of different drugs in my life, so i'm probably not the best example in any case.

Waking up with a banging headache isn't a sign of addiction, waking up in a pool of sweat with every fibre of your body screaming out for a fix, working out how you are going to fund the day is a sign of addiction, my advice is drop it now while you have the chance.

As everyone else said, yes you are definitely playing with fire and please stop now while you still can. As for your questions:

One thing I want to point out is that addiction and physical dependence are 2 different things. You can be mentally addicted before you get physically dependent. I know a lot of people mistakenly think if you are not physically dependent you are not addicted, but that isn't correct. However, if you are not yet physically dependent (or not very) it should be a lot easier to quit since you will not get serious withdrawal symptoms. The mental addiction can be extremely hard too though, and will only get stronger with time. You will have to do things to take your mind off heroin and learn that if you get a craving doesn't mean that you have to act on it. It also helps to avoid being in situations where you would normally use, avoid being around others who are using, and to delete any dealer's numbers from your phone. And learn healthier coping mechanisms for stress, depression, pain, etc.

Using for 5-6 days in a week could make you start getting a mild physical dependence. Craving heroin is a sign of addiction. Sounds like you are getting psychologically addicted and you could possibly be getting slightly physiologically dependent. At the very minium take a break for a few weeks to prevent physical dependence.

Tolerance goes up rapidly because your brain adapts to the presence of the drug and compensates for it, therefore it requires more drug in order to get the same effects as before. If you are using heroin every day or almost every day, your tolerance will rise very quickly.

quit now and you most likely will not even hsve withdrawals.

Like my man said.

You can develop tolerance without having a physical addiction, and I GAURANTEE that you can probably cut the dope out painlessly. Even your psychological addiction is nothing compared to what it will be in months, hell, WEEKS from now.

Heroin isn't anything to play around with. While I was shooting Dilaudid, not heroin, it is still horrible. I still take methadone every day in exorbitantly high doses. Opiate addiction is one of the worst ones when it comes to withdrawal symptoms. it amy not kill you like alcohol/benzo withdrawal but it is extremely uncomfortable. You don't want to get hooked man its a lifelong thing and it will never leave tyou. I have a monkey on my back and I hate it but my inner addict is proud of it...a very scary feeling

OP,

You must love the sensation of euphoria from sniffing some h, it makes you feel better about yourself, ready to take on the world.

And about 10 seconds after that you're crashing your car into a store, you're banging some hot babe you saw a party and barely know her name....I GET IT

The problem is eventually, and most likely within 6 months, you are inching into the most dangerous club in the world. Death can come unexpectedly. You can sniff way too much.

Either way you are going to fall, usually face first, smashing your chin into the ground. It may not be this literally but then again it is quite possible.

You seem bright and seem to be at a crossraids. Choose your path with what your heart says. because the addicted brain has only 1 purpose- to lock you down in misery for entire parts of your life.

So stop, 6/7 days is pretty bad to start with. If you can not accept never doing it again consider this maxi-am = "Heroin usage should never go beyond the 2 days of your pay check". So if you can't say no, stick to the idea that more than twice enough is a path you know can only lead to PAIN and perhaps tragedy.

I find Vitamins and things such as DXM help prevent tolerance most importantly Zinc,Magnesium all the B12 Vitamins Fish Oil, Vitamin C etc etc.... But most importantly like everyone else said to stop.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said and no matter how much you tell yourself "I'm in control of this" you are not. From the second you first take heroin it plants a tiny little seed in you. that seed never goes away and all you are doing now is watering it.
I'm 20 now I used heroin for the first time at 15 I managed to use only once a month for years only smoking. then before I knew it i was doing more and more waking up with sniffles (still holding down a job). The day I lost my job was the day my life as I knew it ended I started IVing and haven't really looked back. I still smoke now and again but my family hates me I have no job I am slowly losing a lot of my property to get my fix. I and am a slave to this drug. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop now while it's easy(er) because I am a prime example of someone who thought that I controlled heroin. Now I have had to resign to the fact that it controls me. Good Luck , be sensible <3
