Hey all,

As the title suggests, I'm sick of doing alcohol every weekend because it really gives me some awful side effects the next day and doesn't agree with me in general.
I have access to coke, speed, MDMA, xanax, LSD and possibly ketamine in the future.
This is my first post to this website, am I incriminating myself by doing this...?

I should also point out that I'm 17 years old as of the past July, so I want to be really careful with my still developing brain lol.

Thanks in advance.

I have also only done LSD out of the above, and my first and only time so far was this past April.

Hey man, I would advise you to stick to alcohol and pot, and the occasional trip. Your young brain will continue to develop into your 20's and you don't want any lingering doubt about damage you may have caused.

Are the drugs I mentioned above going to cause brain damage with infrequent use? Say, once every 6 months?
Lol, I know you're thinking 'it's not going to be once every 6 months' however my contact for said substances is 6 hours away...

I also can't do pot because it makes me paranoid as fuck, haha, wish I got stoned like everybody else....:|

I would stay away from Coke as something like 70+% of it is contaminated with the veterinary de-wormer Levamisole.
speed is meh. pretty shitty if you ask me.

very rare MDMA use should be OK, and xanax is pretty benign if you don't get a habit, which is easy to do.

Ketamine is pretty easily abused, but fairly safe, too.

Ok cool, I'll keep that in mind.
Do you mean ALL coke is 70%+ de-wormer?
Do you know if those coke purity testing kits would be useful in seeing whether or not I have Levamisole?

I'm 34 years old and I have a 17 year old son. My advice to you is to put all the drugs, and alcohol away. Focus on your education. When you've completed schooling and you have a successful career which allows you the income to party, that's when you can let loose and party on the weekends. You have alot of time left, you don't want to burn out now.

I definitely don't want to burn out, at all lol. I'm just looking for a little experimentation and fun, but I totally see where you're coming from.

You're seventeen years old, and you drink every weekend? Man, and I thought that I was young when I started experimenting with substances... smoked weed in middle school but didn't drink at all until college.

I'm not going to advocate your doing it, but of all the substances, marijuana is probably the most benign. I would stay away from the alcohol and from all other substances, again, until you're a bit older; and who knows, you might not be interested in experimenting with substances in a few years (or maybe you will be) but you can cross that bridge when you come to it.

Not many people know that the brain hasn't really fully developed until one's early twenties. So, you've got a while.

You could try Kava or Katom. Be careful with the latter as it can be addictive. If you do use the Kratom, linit yourself to a maximum of Once a week.
Any more and you'll be on the slippery Opioid slope before you know it.

What can I say? I'm an Aussie, and we start out young :).

I'm completely aware of my brain still being undeveloped, so this is why I was asking what I could do to replace alcohol.
It's likely I'm still going to experiment with some of these substances, so is a 6 month abstinence from all drugs between use acceptable?

Edit: Smiley made it look like I was angry...lol

Haha, man I don't mess with opiates simply because I like them waaaaaaaay too much. I have HORRIBLE anxiety, so they work so much better than for anyone else I know simply because of the relief I get..

I feel like I'm coming off as a cocky little prick, but I'm not trying to be haha.
Just wondering on what my alternatives to booze would be if my friends and I want to have a little fun now and then, you know?

At your age I would not even recommend alcohol use, despite its legality alcohol is an extremely vague drug in terms of receptor binding and neurotransmitter effects, it seems to effect a hell of a lot of neurochemical systems. And when your brain is developing you're asking for numerous types of permanant effects if you use it too much. Sure, you probably dont think of alcohol as more damaging health wise than other illegal drugs due to our drinking cultures; but I can assure you that the vast majority of drinkers are completely naiive to the damaging effect of alcohol. Ironically you'd probably be better off doing magic mushrooms reguarly than alcohol.

I smoked cannabis nearly daily from 14-19 and it likely altered the development of my brain for the worse. Any psychoactive drug used that much at that age will do the same. Just be patient. Wait till your twenty or so, then you can start dipping your toe into the wonderful world of psychoactive drugs without the worry of damaging brain development.

A few drugs every other weekend will be fine, but dont take the piss at your age. You will regret it when your older.

Alright, I'll stay away from the booze from here on.
For what it's worth, the past year I have been drinking once every month at the max. so hopefully that's not too bad...

In terms of similar effects GHB/GBL is the only thing I have found to be similar in effect to alcohol.

That and 2-methyl-2-butanol, but you dont want to start going down obscure research chemical routes really at your age. Again, PATIENCE!

Yeah, haha, I'm definitely not keen on doing shit that hasn't been tested on humans.
Isn't GBL/GHB easy as fuck to overdose on?

As your an Aussie, I'd exclude Kratom, as Australia is one of the few countries in which it is illegal. Would be hard to get on the black market as opiate dealers would concentrate on selling the big guys such as Heroin and Oxy.

Half yearly abstinence is probably helpful, particularly if you get fond of a certain substance. For most of the people here who are addicted it usually starts out as once a month or week, then the addictive mind set says "why not a session mid week, that won't hurt" You can get off the bandwagon now, but chances are you won't want too. Useage escalates to every other day then daily. Your dependent now! You'll want to get off the bandwagon now but can't!

lsd would probably be the safest of these. mdma would be safe if you really kept it to once every 6 months. xanax is a pretty boring drug if you ask me, ive seen people get addicted to it and i dont even know how because when ive done it all ive done is relaxed and passed out and ended up blacking out. i would stay away from coke if i were you, especially at your age. and ketamine ive never done so i cant really say anything.
