ive read bunches of posts about how its not going to do anything, then ive read other posts where people say you can hallucinate around 20 mg

anyways i have 2 ambien cr, 12.5mg sitting here, im a big dude, generally dont take the ambien unless im having real trouble falling asleep, maybe once every few weeks

if your tolerance is low (which if you take it once every few weeks it should be) then i personally think you should be able to hallucinate off it.

im not sure of what your weight is but im 140lbs and i minorly hallucinated off of 5mg my first time taking it

ha im a VERY big guy if youre 140 :/ ah well, if anything itll be a fast to sleep night for me

haha well dont fall asleep right when it starts to kick in. if your not hallucinating after like an hour or an hour and a half id say its not happening

If you have been doing prescribed doses before every now and then for a while (months) I expect that you do not hallucinate anymore even with multiplying the dose with no matter what amount. Also most drugs that affect mostly with CNS does not have nothing to do with your weight as your brain volume or nerve volume does not correlate with your weight when it comes to the dosage. It affects in your brains and nervous system, not in your muscle or fat tissue. Therefore asking what the dose would be in regards in your weight would be ridiculous.

be careful with zolpidem. i took 80mg & didnt even realize i was high but i was talking to myself on BL it was like a waking dream.
its very strange. u wont realize ya high & than u'll wake up thinking the last night was a dream but it actually happened.
tonight i had 80mg valium (a very high dose for me. much better & i barely feel i thing). zolpidem is way stronger. u should be tripping from that amount & feel like ya dreaming or dreaming feeling awake.
should be the perfect dose. wish i dosed lower so i didnt get amnesia. & i can handle any dose of benzos

I take the regular 10mg instant release ambien everynight and it usually puts me to sleep for about four hours. The other night I took One of the 12.5 Ambien CR's and slept for 12 hours straight! I didn't notice any wierd effects other than the usual pleasant drowsiness that hits before i fall asleep.

If I stay up on Ambien I don't really hallucinate, I do one of two things; I'll either get really active and clean my room or write a song or something OR I'll just lay in bed in a trance like state and every piece of furniture will feel like it has a human like energy to it, I'll have a thought and then feel like my desk chair just responded to my thought, then my TV will chime in and I'll be half asleep engaged in some strange conversation with my furniture.... really a weird fucking drug.

Any kind of repressed urge often will come out if you don't go to sleep right after taking it alot of the time.

My ex gf used to do all kinds of crazy things on Ambien that she had no recollection of the next day.

I'll admit that when I was younger I'd used to crush up tons and tons of the white 10mg IR Ambien (CR didn't yet exist then), enough to fill a hollowed-out Bic pen with, and just spend the days snorting the whole tube bit by bit. I'm so embarrassed, thinking back on it ;)

Ambien messed with my vision permanently over time and aside from that, as others have said it's weird, with little inhibition control during the experience and overall simply feels 'dirty' to me... but to each his own, and if crushed, 25mg Ambien CR will produce an effect. Notice how I'm not gonna specify whether or not that effect will be enjoyable, however!

You'll get effects from 25mg CR for sure. While some people do consider higher dose zolpidem (Ambien) experiences fun, there is a very real danger of blacking out and making a fool out of yourself.

Tread carefully.

Technically, those are hallucinations and are my thoughts exactly on an Ambien "trip."

You either feel like you're surrounded by a crowd of close friends all in on every conversation, or you start to feel like the inanimate objects around you have a strangely human presence and they then turn into your crowd of people to converse with and bounce thoughts off of.

I decided a long time ago that Ambien should only be taken to induce sleep. Abuse of the drug can really fuck with your head while you're feeling the effects...

But anyway OP, yeah, you should "feel it" after ingesting 25mg of Ambien. Hell, you should've "felt it" after only 15mg.

Haha, I always feel like their is somebody around me on Ambien, usually behind my back so I can't see them. You need to crush those CR because they don't really work unless you take high doses of them, the controlled release that is. The instant release you don't need to crush. I'm not really sure crushing the CR really works all the way for defeating the time release. It would still take a long time to kick in. When I was abusing Ambien I usually took 3 of those 12.5mg tablets to get the trippy delirious effects.

I am prescribed ambien and in my experience 20mgs should be enough to get a pretty strong effect, however i've never taken the er version so I don't know how hard that hits, from what i've seen some people just pass out while others like my brother have walked around the house with his head in another planet, I think it just has a lot to do with the person, for me they just really help me sleep and give me a little fun before bedtime

and I totally get the feeling like i'm not alone on it either, I used to live alone and whenever I took them, I always got the feeling that I was hanging out with someone who wasn't there and although this sounds kinda creepy its really just more amusing
