Obviously there's not a YouTube video on this, but I've been doing H a lot again lately and having my brother or boyfriend shoot me up, but I've never done it myself. They are both out of town at the moment and I want to give myself a shot, but I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know before I do? Like how deep, how fast do I push it in, when do I take the tourniquet off, etc?

go in on an angle, the tube of the needle should be almost parallel with your arm. obviously not completely parallel or it wouldnt be in your arm but really close

you go in until you hit a vein, how far that is varies from person to person and spot to spot. it takes less to shoot into your forearm than into your thigh if you get what I mean. also, it depends on the size and gauge of the needle

just stick it where you got a good vein, pull back on the plunger once you believe it to be in the vein (trickiest part to learn , pulling it back one handed. you get used to it) and look for a stream of blood to start entering the barrel. you dont have to inject it fast or anything, you dont get bonus points. I like to shoot up slow because if you are missing your vein you can tell right away

not only does it feel like something is wrong, you will notice your skin start to rise a bit in almost a bubble shape and when you see that you know you just missed. better to catch it halfway than just plow through it and hope for the best

it gets to become second nature tbh. sharper needles go in easier. Id use a new needle every time if you arent really used to IVing yet, dull needles just complicate things but a pin is a pin.

PS, i cant STRESS enough when i say puss rhe plunger slow cause if u puss to fast thats it...damage dun nuthing u can do
 
Whst is it supposed to feel like when you're in the vein? I've gone in on very bulgy veins on my foot 3 times now and its like I can feel when the needle pushes through different areas under my skin (Maybe vein walls?) and I fee like for sure I'm in but when I pull up on the plunger I get nothing back. The veins in my arms aren't very bulgy.
Also, is it true that if you get just a little air bubble in your vein you'll die?

it will turn to morphine in the needle if im not mistaken. long answer: you'll get a high. short answer: not what youre looking for though

the air bubble thing sounds like bullshit but im not a doctor. but as a rule of thumb, for anything being injected, you dont want air in there. just flick it with your finger while its straight up and liquid will find its way to the bottom then just push the plunger until it reaches the end. you can even squirt a little bit out if you want to look cool

I cant really give you a concrete answer on what it feels like to have a needle in your vein. its kind of a feel thing. thats another reason its easy to re-use the same spot until it disappears, you get comfortable using it and dont want to waste drugs so you just keep....using...the...same...spot

and then one day it just doesnt work on the first try, or the second try, or the third try. and at that point half your barrel is full of blood that oozed in and since the only thing you can do is IV at that point (brb im gonna snort the contents of this bloody needle real quick??? who does that?) you go to your SUPER SECRET SPOT that YOU KNOW you'll hit on.

so you hit on that spot and then it becomes your new go-to spot.

lather
repeat

idk if the blood shoots into the barrel youre good to go, if it just kind of oozes in there you may not be 100% in the vein or your veins are just shitty from being overused

just realized the short answer is longer than the long answer. im an idiot

I can absolutely 100% promise you from first hand experience that a few bubbles won't hurt you. I highly doubt a full 1ml/100unit syringe full of air would hurt you, it takes a LOT of air to cause a problem, more than you can fit in an orange cap syringe

As for what it feels like in the vein? For me, a small bit of pressure, not even painful.

There may not be a youtube video of shooting up, but there are excellent guides, including one i think is stickied over in the other drugs forum.
 
I find that if the tie off is very tight around my arm, blood appears in the syringe the instant i get it in the vein. Just a little blood, but I dont even have to register. Im not sure if this is a dangerous method though. GL :)
 
After you pierce the skin you will be able to feel when the needle has entered a vein. After you pierce the skin hold the needle almost against your arm as you burry it deeper. Pull back on the suringe and if blood flows nicely into the needle you are good to go. I warn you tough after 7 days sober from the H I would strongly advise you against going down this road. It ruined my life. I rode the H train for 10 years and took him to very dark places. I had to learn the hard way tough.

Ps having the angled part of the needle faced up works better with me. I will look tomorrow on YouTube for a how to video and if I can't find a good one I will make one using water.

nine months clean from heroin here...long time habit. Heroin is a beautiful yet ugly fuckable friend that stops getting you off, yet you feel compelled to fight with her constantly which sometimes gets you put in jail.

You should just take the fact you can't hit as a blessing and run with it. Yeah it feels awesome, but so does eating a super amazing cheeseburger (which rarely if ever happens if you have a smack habit).

The first time you really detox...I mean balls to the walls...you will realize it is too late and now the only thing that can sort you out is the next hit, and the next hit, and the next hit...until you die, or get clean.

Its a horrible process.
 
Overdose is easy with IV use, especially if you are new to it. Not understanding doseage, purity, etc. can contribute to OD. Dangerous game to play with IV.

You should have someone with you since they're out of town, just to be your spotter to call 911 if things go wrong. I've told people this over and over a year on here.

Heat applied to veins aids in them swelling, so you can get a better puncture. Drinking a glass of water or gatorade helps as well.

I mostly advise against heroin and IV use, but people will do it anyway. Lost too many people to overdose, also work in medical field 18+ years, so torn between giving good advice on IV'ing and living.

Aint that the truth man. Just quit meth and heroin habit few days ago, did it easily since i kept doses low. Seems like with the hard drugs.. i know when it is starting to get really out of hand and i muster up courage to self detox / quit. Worst part is as soon as i feel better, i pick up again and repeat process.


OP just practice and take it slow, do not save the shot. Not only will it turn into morphine but the solution will have bacteria in it, especially if it is tar. I know from multiple first hand experiences..
