I've never shot dope before, so I don't know how awesome it is. But several people in my family got hooked on smack, and comparatively speaking, they're behind the 8 ball a lot more than me. Bills, legal shit, dependence on family they don't like, etc.

I've always wanted to try it, but I already know what it's like to be broke as fuck and owing people money because pills ate up my budget. And I'm pretty sure that if it's superior even to hydromorphone, then I'll be fucked.

So, I guess my question is how rich do you have to be to start a smack habit and not wind up super stressed and unhealthy?

i think even rich people can get stressed and unhealthy.

chipping is possible but using such an ROA as shooting up it's gonna be a lot harder to resist regular use which will inevitably lead to despair at some point.

If you had to form a strategy to set yourself up for successfully leading a good life, with the plan to one day start shooting dope, what ki9nds of things have to be in place?

I personally honestly think it's impossible if you plan to stay hiiiigh on smack 24-7 because even if you have all the money in the world you can only up your dose sooo far.

find a good hearted loving female, give her all of your money and dope, go to work everyday and have her give you your dope on whatever basis you want.

when i said its difficult i should have been more specific...

ITS DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE

I don't think so, being addicted to it is just to much of a obsession. Even when I had enough to last a while I'd always be thinking about getting more. For me at least, I could have enough smack to last me a lifetime and I would still buy more.

When I was deep into it, I was making about 90k a year and still I lived paycheck to paycheck and at times had to depend on family to pay for my mortgage and other bills when I was in rehab. If you haven't tried it like you say, please don't. I've been successful the last couple years in keeping my use to 2 days a week but this after I fell on my face a few times and lost many opportunities; and had it not been for family I may have nver gotten up. And there's certainly no guarantees I will continue to be ok. Good luck dood.

That's heavy, man. There's nothing worse in this life than having it and then fucking up. It seems to me that Heroin is the surefire way to do that. It has a "great personality" apparently.

Yep heroin will jack your shit up.. with no sense that its about to.. it'l be all ohhhn ain't this the fucken best thing ever! Then BAM your life's FUCT!

heroin doesn't seem to be a good choice for enriching one's life. Look at your family and think about how far the apple falls from the tree. money doesnt matter when drug addiction enters the picture. i was in rehab with a millionare, smoking $1000 worth of hard daily and he was miserable.

I believe that if I had an unlimited supply of opiates, and never had to wait on dealers and miss responsibilities due to getting sick, my life would be better than it could possibly be on heroin or oxycodone. But that is just me, opiates are the only drug that I have ever found remotely addictive. I think that perhaps some individuals are consistently depressed and amotivational because they suffer from not having enough endorphins pumping through the system, similar to those who find that SSRI's are effective treatments for depression. In this sense, I believe that opiates are the perfect antidepressant for some people.

However, its illegality ensures that addiction will lead you down a miserable path, no matter how much money you make, due to the fact that you will still have to wait on dealers, you will still have to deal with being sick, and your capacity to function will henceforth be impaired. I would not go down that road, because there is no going back. I am on some hydrocodone today (I remember the days when it used to be the best, now it is nothing but a mild mood lift) even though I have sworn myself to relative sobriety. I need them in social situations, I need them to open up, and I need them to not feel bored all the damn time. I was probably like this before, but knowing what the cure is and how unobtainable its sustainability is to me makes it worse.

I steal from friends and family, I damage relationships, nobody in my life trusts me anymore (and for good reason) because, hey, if you leave a bottle of oxy out there is no way I am not taking it. It's like I go for the steal without thinking of it.

I have a family history of opiate addiction, and my path directly follows that of my mother's. Try to break the family trend. It ain't worth it.

I was happiest when I was doing LSD and MDMA once a month, those were the best, most productive days of my life, and those substances helped me achieve anything I wanted to. Stick to weed, hallucinogens/empathogens, buds, and maybe some amphetamines if you are legitimately ADHD. If you stay on that path, only good things will come to you. Stay away from benzos (if you do not have anxiety), opiates (if you do not suffer from serious pain), stimulants (if you do not have ADHD or narcolepsy) and especially alcohol. I know it is our legal drug, but I have known a lot of addicts in my day and the alcoholics are the worst off.

Opiates are probably the least damaging of all of the addictions, as there are great treatments available such as detox, suboxone, and methadone. But the others... the others are virtually untreatable and require massive willpower to overcome.

You'll try it, get addicted and then before you know it every single penny will have went on dope.

It's just not worth the hassle tbh.

Its possible but likely you wont live more than a few years. Unless you have lots of money, that time will mostly be spent on trying to do whatever you can to get you through the night without breaking into sweats, vomiting, pain, insomnia and anxiety. Heroin is the silent killer of popular drugs. Seemingly innocent at first, deadly at any time. 9 out of 10 people I know who have died from drug overdoses have done so shooting heroin or mixing opiates with alcohol. The other 1 out of 10 died from mixing cocaine and xanax.

yeah silly question captainballs. Look around at what you've learnt about heroin. Realise that we all felt that same sense of invincibility, we all felt it to some degree. All of us thought that, yeah this stuff is really addictive, but because of that, i will be even more careful with my drug use and stay ontop of heroin..

Everyone starts off believing they can control it, they create lines they will never cross, amounts they will never use.. But it's amazing how slowly the actual addiction develops, right infront of you, but you wont see it happening...

Just remember chances are heroin has taken down stronger wills than your own, i gurantee you it has.. So don't go thinking you can use heroin intravenously and not get addicted, unless you have very limited supply/ability to get heroin, you will become addicted.

Before you know it you cant stand life without opioids, and then you're on 100mg of methadone a day.

No f****** way. If you dont up the dose after a while you''ll just go back to before you ever did opiates, except this time you have a giant habit to maintain that wont get you high but will send you into hell if you dont dose. I suppose if you want to die a short while after starting from OD then you could have a good life, but thats out of the question. Ive never heard or met someone who has done this.

However, their have been opium addicts in the past such as Benjamin Franklin who led respectable lives. But Ben Franklin didn't live in a society where opiates were heavily regulated; they were as easy to get as a walk across the street, and no one ever used the needle, which along with doing diacetylmorphine instead of regular morphine makes the addiction and urge to keep dosing worse than the opium one, which also lasts longer than IV heroin.

Ha I can imagine Benny eating a ball of opium putty at breakfast with coffee and being good until dinner, when he eats another along with a glass of wine.

Regardless of whether or not it is feasible you asked if shooting heroin and a good life could coincide. Look at every major artist whos had the millions to finance a heroin addiction and think again. Inductive logic is not a bad method in this case my friends.

Ive heard of people doing heroin like once a year, but not shooting it for christs sake, that 99.999999% means addiction. No, you are not more powerful than heroins sweet kiss, sorry.

I also know fools who used to do it once a year now its down to once a month.

Heroin and god life just dont go together. Get out and take a walk

You might really be surprised how easy it is to OD on the stuff. I knew a guy who shot H like 3-6 times a day. He was spending about $100 a day just to prevent getting sick. He didn't even get high off the stuff cause it would have cost $150-200 a day to do so. One day he eyeballed a 'safe' dose for someone who wanted to try it for their third time. The guy died for about 5 minutes. He was totally purple and blue. The only reason he survived is because an ambulance was called right away and there happened to be a hospital a couple blocks away. CPR may have given him extra time too. A minute or less longer and he could have died for good. I saw another kid OD on the stuff after doing a 'safe' dose, because he had a couple beers in his system and the guy who fixed him up didn't realize how much the beer would increase the effects. CPR was performed on him until the ambulance arrived. He was lucky too. Unfortunately the hospital bill for something like this is at least 2 thousand dollars. Once you are in the ambulance, they will not let you out. You're forced to stay in there and be taken to the hospital, even if you feel fine after the Narcan starts to work. Then they get your information and charge you for services you may not want, like having to see a doctor, being hooked up to machines, X rays of your brain and heart, and taking up space in the ER, not to mention the ambulance ride. If you're lucky you wont have to answer to any cops, and if you do, hopefully you know what to say to them. Heroin is not a toy. Its one of the most dangerous popular drugs on the market.

I did it for 2 years and it about killed me. I was poor back then, so it made it harder, but I'm sure even with a shitload of money you can't be healthy. It becomes an obsession. One I miss, but shooting is the best way to live in hell. I've had friends that have OD'd. I agree with TTTS, it is one of the most dangerous, and unfortunately the best one i ever had. We had to break up for 12 years.

Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they're too heavy to be broken.

I think it depends on the person really ,when i was doing H i dosed once a day ,after work i just never really had the urge to get high when i had somthing to do ....sure it took my money but back then i was working, paying rent etc, physical addiction is a bitch ,im having a helluva time now that i only use methadone, and dont get high....

if i was rich i would still want to work ,
