I'm new to shooting opiates and I'm wondering if it's connected to the pure exhaustion I experience the next day.

I'm on psychiatric medications as well, but they haven't caused me exhaustion so far so I don't think thats it.

I think most likely yes. You don't really sleep...or you're not falling into an REM sleep. I didn't feel rested when I was shooting opiates, as if I was a step away from a deep sleep. I hope since this is a new thing for you, that it never turns into an all the time thing, or an old thing. It's no-win situation.

I'm not a Dr., just sharing from my personal experience. <3

I don't shoot opis but I have noticed a hangover like effect some mornings after heavy use. Stargazer is correct I Think. I remember reading something about your body having a harder time achieving REM with opiates in your system. I may look into this some more. I'm curious as to wether dose and time of dose before bed has any affect. Say you took a dose RIGHT before bed would that keep one from achieving REM? Since my doses are supposed to be every 4-6 hrs, my last dose tonight will be roughly 6 hrs before bed (if I can hold out). I'll see if I feel more rested the next morning. I'll post again tomorrow morning.

Do let us know AON...I honestly didn't feel rested. It looks like you're sleeping, but it doesn't feel that way when I got out of bed.
