im on baclofen and meprobamate for my coke and stim issues and im craving big time for some coke. according to my doc (who put me on baclo&mepro and some other meds which i stopped doing them atm) high dose baclofen supposedly stop craving for coke. im planning to do some coke next week but since i cant just abruptly stop mepro&baclo im kinda concerned for some shitty unexpected interaction (im not actually worried about mepro - i do mepro when on coke come downs but i never used baclofen wit coke. anyone did coke while on baclo or any other gaba-b agonist? im kind of worried about having convulsions since one lowers the seizure threshold and the other is convulsant. any opinions?

Meprobamate for a coke/stim abuse problem? :? Amazing, the GABA-A effects will just reduce your inhibitions, making you crave drugs even more than sober...

High dose Soma/Mepro or barbiturates or Lyrica/Gabapentin will reduce seizure threshold and make seizures more common, don't mix with stimulants.

Watch this video about Baclofen being used to help reduce cocaine cravings (very good documentary, as are the other parts of the film linked to the left of the video). I wonder if the Meprobamate is making the Baclofen less effective.

cheers i dont think they make it less effective btw

i tried baclofen for my alcohol addiction. conclusion: did jack shit. did come in handy when i got addicted to GHB though.

edit: i should clarify this a bit. it might actually be good against alcoholism. i wasn't properly detoxed beforehand and didn't have anything on my hands (i.e. benzos/GHB) to detox myself. so just switching from a quart of vodka to 10mg of baclofen (the dose my ex-psychiatrist said i should take) was doomed to fail. even though i upped the dose rather quickly to a much more managable 100mgs, it just didn't work. i made it through four days sober before buying the next bottle. now that i can safely say i am no longer physically dependent but still very much mentally addicted, i might give it another shot. because by god, not only do i constantly crave a drink, it's also available everywhere.

my niece had successfully quit alcohol with baclofen but with much higher doses (but then she got hooked on baclo, she's still on it like 250-300 mg a day). i also found the french doc who first self-medicated himself and wrote the paper about baclofen monotherapy, the guy used doses up to 300 mg a day (not bolus of course) but tapered it to something like 150 mg due to somnolence and other side effects. check out mywayout forums those guys are baclofen experts they might help, good luck:)
