Stimulants Shelf life of Amphetamine Sulfate

Ok I bought 2 grams of Amphetamine Sulphate Powder about 2 days ago still have 1.5 grams left. I have it wrapped in Aluminum foil stored in a cool place away from light. How long will it retain the same potency? How long does it take to go bad? I am planning on using it sparingly through the next few days. Will the Amphetamine go spoiled? How long can I keep it like that????

Next question. First I took the advice of the bluelight community and put some Amphetamine Sulphate( Street) into Plastic Vegetable Capsules for Oral dosage . Then I consumed 1 capsule More so sparing amounts, then I went off and had a study session for University. Interesting effects noted I took a sub threshold Euphoric dose more of a therapeutic dose. I noticed that now whilst I was studying my material I seemed more in tune with it. I want to look through the small details. Nothing seems boring. I want to complete it all. I have to complete it all. My concentration and focus are at a high level. Studying is fun time flies faster.
Good Nootropic.

Anyhow Oral Street Amphetamine as compared to Nasal. Seemed a lot more mellow, less of the rushing a slow coming up of effects and then a slow taper. Good Nootropic and Therapeutic. I took a small Oral dose comparable to 2 small nasal lines 10-20 Percent pure possibly up to 30.

if you're using it within the next few days, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

I believe the general rule for rx's is not to use after 1 year from the date on the bottle. I don't have exact scientific amounts, but I don't think the potency diminishes that much after 1 year; I think that rule may be for HR sake. I had a bottle of oxy's that were 2.5 years old that I acquired from a friend, and they worked fine. (kids, do not try that at home.)

^Pharmaceuticals generally have an expiration date of 5 years past the manufacture date, although stored properly, some medications can have shelf lives measured in decades.

@OP, you have absolutely no idea what the purity of your drugs unless you had them lab tested via GC/MS.

Don't store amphetamines in aluminum foil. Store them in a dry, airtight, away from light in opaque or tinted glass/pyrex/vial/plastic.

If you keep it in foil, it should degrade much quicker.

I ask out of blatant curiosity - why not aluminum foil? Back in the day, (late 90's, early 2000's) whenever I would receive crank or glass, it was always given to me in a tiny bit of tinfoil. Obviously it wasn't sitting around for more than a week or two, but I never noticed any degredation. Would the aluminum really have a significant effect on it [over time? a week? a month?]

^You and I don't have to worry as much about this because we're dealing with methamphetamine, which I'm pretty sure is much less hygroscopic than European amphetamine sulphate.

Methamphetamine still does absorb water/moisture from the surrounding environment, which is why it's best to store it in a sealed vial like I said, aluminum foil is not airtight and since it's a metal, a very thin one at that, it changes temperature very easily, which could be a bad thing depending on the storage environment, especially with euro-speed.

It really depends on exactly how short/long term the storing process is going to be, but for most purposes, crystal stays good short term even when improperly stored, but amphetamine sulphate is supposed to degrade much more and absorb moisture if not stored properly even in the short term.

+1 Yes i can imagine speed kept in foil getting sweaty and then cooling down over and over. Cant be good for it. I dont think foil is breathable and thats why the amph would get more sweaty, and turn a lumpy yellow pretty quick.

I know your sposed to keep substances stored airtight, but I belive there's a difference betwen airtight and non breathable.

Absolutely correct, especially considering that drug dealing is a completely unregulated commercial enterprise, and it is unlikely that,

A. they even know the potency themselves
B. they would be honest even if they did.

Also, the two main ways drugs degrade is through oxidation and contact with reactive containers. Aluminium foil, although the reactivity is negligble over a few days, is a reactive container. Most plastics are also. Pyrex is your best bet. It's practically unreactive.

Though unless you're dealing with A-grade pure, or large or traffickable amounts, I wouldn't worry about storing it in alfoil or paper. Also, keep away from heat, sunlight and moisture in the air.

I unwrapped it, stirred it into my coffee and was buzzing like fuck in 20 mins. I dunno if that sheds any light as far as the question goes but it was interesting.

Hahaha it was a pretty decent win. I didnt think it'd have any effect at all. If I'm totally honest I wasn't even 100% sure it was amphet, but the chances were high.

Ok I read through this thread in the morning. I had my amphetamine in aluminum foil stored in a pencil case holder in a drawer. Its not hott in my room rather cold and chilly( I have no heating ahahah) not much sun light blinds are closed. So I dont think it could have degraded much in a day or two. I just placed it into a dork bottle, I dont have pyrex its stored away from light. I plan on finishing it within the next week, maybe not all of it. How long will it last?

nice to know. I have a question for yall tweakers ! How effective do you consider amphetamine as a study aid???? It seems today when I was studying. I was hyperfocusing on everything everything seemed interesting and I didnt move out of the chair for 3 hours. I didnt get sick of studying usually I am the type that I dislike studying but with amphetamines its a piece of cake and I feel this motivation steer me like oh my I have to get this done I have to pass this test . Learn more learn more dont quit why quit?
This is what runs through my brain. I hate the side effects of Amphetamines today I had some shaky hands is this Normal as well?

And can somebody help me deal with the comedowns whats ur technique? seems the first 12 hours after tweaking( last dosage) are the hardest for me. Later my mood and my life force return to me. After a night of tweaking and no sleep the next night i sleep magnificent ( 14 hours of deep sleep ) I take a herb Kanna Sceletium tortuosum Its anti anxiety helps me deal with the comedown and has a nice synergy with Amphetamine. entheogen

take less, mate. you shouldn't be tweaking if you're using it for study.
if you do take appropriate dosages, perhaps oxazepam, or really, any benzo would help.

just remember that rarely can you use amphetamines recreationally and as a study aid.

I see. I think I will probably stay awake the whole night and crash tommorrow afternoon got enough sleep Anyways. When I take Amphetamine Sulphate to study I would say I took small increments of 5mg pure every few hours. That keeps my concentration ,energy and motivation at a level where I study. I only felt slight euphoria.

I've stored speed in the freezer for several months before with no obvious reduction in potency if that helps at all.

I can tell you from personal experience if you are dealing with amphetamine paste you should let it air dry a but, then place in a vial or airtight container and store in a dark place, like a safe or inside a large envelope.
