Hey everyone, I love listening to a good mix...one that pulls you in and takes you on an acoustic journey, where you feel like every song fits perfectly and is meant to be. To be honest, I haven't found many mixes that I can say are the best...because almost always there are songs in any mix that I want to skip over. Care to share some of your favorites?

Here are a couple of mine atm...mainly abstract stuff I like, but I love when DJs have fun and play around with the knobs...Theo Parrish is well known for that. Ras G's material is just strait up out there..pretty abstract, but I love weird stuff!

Theo Parrish - Live in Kawasaki, Japan - https://soundcloud.com/ochikura/theo...ub-09-kawasaki

Ras G - SpaceBase Vol. 1 https://soundcloud.com/ras_g/live-from-spacebase-vol-1

Hope to hear from everyone!

Hi,

maybe you would like to check this beautiful selection made by Sintetic Collage. It features beautiful sounds, a great taste and a well executed technique. This mix is the starting point for a new section we created at Maco, and it is called Recipes which will feature a special, personal mix from different artists. You can find more about Sintetic Collage on his soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/sintetic-collage.

Maco is a new label with no fancy words or false pretensions. We just want to enjoy music and meet new artist we can talk to and have our own, personal taste and space in this crowded industry.

Here is the mix; https://soundcloud.com/macorecs/recipe-1-sintetic-collage

We hope you enjoy this first Recipe and let us know if you would like to participate or send us your music, we will listen with care.

Cheers!

^^ This isn't a live mix.

One of my friends who is a wicked psy DJ spinning at a super fun underground rave hosted by my "it's complicated" at a grimy little club on a Thursday packed with 15 year thots and fuccbois in k-holes...... and its one of my favorite sets that I heard live in recent time...and I hear a lot of live sets by great DJs. :P

The infamous Paul Oakenfold goa mix from 1994. Quite a musical journey. Rarely do I hear DJ's today slowly build a journey like this. 90% of the time when I go out it's high energy every 30 seconds with a standstill every 30 seconds too... over and over. Guess i'm just getting old :(

The first song holds a special place in my heart. Too bad he only plays the first minute.

Bad DJs just doing drops or is it the producers?

I guess both! I have found I don't like seeing producers live though, I get sick of hearing the same person's tracks all night. I like to hear wacky shit that some DJ found in a basement somewhere.. and to be left wondering what it was.. perhaps never to be answered. To me, the mystery is part of the journey that I want a DJ to take me on. I find it completely rad that there are still unidentified tracks from mixes and sets that were recorded in the early 90's. Tracks that people on discogs have been searching for endlessly to no avail.

This track for instance, at 1 hour 21 mins. This has been tormenting me for over 20 fucking years. No one knows what it is, and short of talking to Mr Digweed myself, I will never find out what it is. Perhaps it's a track he made and decided not to release? Who knows!

(actual track begins at 18 mins but take some time to get going)
