Sex as pain relief

The past of my perception and the tomorrow that do
Ok, I'm admittedly new here. But I have found that no matter how much I physically hurt, sex helps. I get the endorphin theories and all. The irony to me is that I already hurt, yet active, long lasting, sex to orgasm is one if the best pain killers around when the rxs aren't doing the job. The entire time, I feel little to no pain. I DO know that (almost always) afterwards I will "pay" for being that physically active, meaning I will hurt after. I've found it helps with pain if I do it alone, too, but there's not nearly as much relief, in my opinion. Just wondering if anyone else has found the same.

(I recently started Grey's Anatomy on Netflix and there's this episode where a doc prescribes porn to a guy fur pain control...It made me smile.)

This is a reason many females seem to like sex around that time of the month.

It can get help rid of tummy cramps, stress, and nausea from what I can tell.

Another thing is, sex is way way better than an absurd opiate habit for minor ailments, in spite of what your doctor may tell you.

They are also much more sensitive at that time of the month.

I can sort of relate. Orgasm or just sexual stimulation provides temporary relief from hangovers and the nausea associated with them, even alcohol poisoning level hangovers.

I agree that sex (solo or otherwise) is a great way to help with pain (depending on where the pain is of course). Depending on the circumstances I can find pain to be pretty arousing.

For me, though, it's not a time of the month. It's when I have physical pain. My cycling of anyway because of an IUD, so I can't chalk it up to that. I mean intense physical chronic pain.

A girl I've been together with for a while has chronic pain.

She's never taken any opiate outside of hospital, as one cannot buy them off the shelf in her country.

She uses the ring, but I've had partners whose periods disappeared due to the rod/IUD or due to having PCOS.

It's nice, because one doesn't have to be concerned about pregnancy and can fuck the pain away for each respectful condition.

If I listened to the doctor, I'd have chronic pain, too, but I drew the line and decided to stop opiates.

I'm in no way belittling any condition you may or may not have, but I know from experience that sex helps with pain and pain can often be an aphrodisiac.

I have chronic pain and sexual stimulation can definitely keep my mind off it. Although I am going to take a percocet for pain relief, and make sure I don't abuse them. Sex should be deeper than that to me. I find it harder actually to have sex since developing chronic pain. But keeping my opiate dose low and never doing heroin keeps (not has kept) my sex drive in check.
