Hi there all! Just like to start off by saying I've been reading Bluelight threads for several years now and am happy to be finally posting here myself! :)

Anywho I recently had a cystoscopy and now have a catheter in my bladder - in short i have a thick tube up my urethra to help drain urine. After the surgery this afternoon it wasn't painful at all as I had been given intravenous tramadol and some other synthetic morphine substance, however now it has started to become rather agonising. I have had two voltarans, 100mgs Tramadol a couple of small bong hits, have applied sedating lube and just recently took a 60mg slow release Dihydrocodeine to get me through the night.

Despite this I am writing in excruciating pain and am at a loss for what to do. I feel that constant cone rips of a specific indica strain would help, but this is not really possible to due a lack of not know what weed you're getting here in New Zealand (we don't have medical mj yet), and because of my low tolerance which wouldn't go down well at the office.

I doubt I can be prescribed a stronger pain killer as doctors in NZ are quite pedantic in which situations they'll prescribe them, despite my best efforts at persuasion. I've gotta have this thing in for a week and am not really coping with the idea of being in this much pain consistently the whole 7 days.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! 8(

Call your doctor!?! While in hospital and on an IV, most/many people remain comfortable, but once you're home on your own... well, self-medicating isn't the most effective way to go. Did they give you a number to call for follow-up care? Call it.

I just hate to see you suffering for a week when you may well be able to get the help you need and DESERVE!
