Im really surprised this subject is hardly mentioned here (I searched) but its freaking me out so I hope I find answers here. So my drug addiction started much different then probably many of you but first a little braggadocios and why I assume I had pretty high levels of testosterone . ..Star athlete in HS that broke long standing records and led our school to state in wrestling , soccer and track... Was a competitive bmx racer and snowboarder then went back east to collage and since I was a dancer and Dj I got lots of puss .. I had a blond curly mop, green eyes and a huge schlong.lol I loved women, romance and sex with as many as I could get ....ok jump into late 30s still very athletic keeping up with my son dirt biking , boarding and rock climbing .. still a strong sex drive and was still the same size as HS and just 6 weeks in the gym I could be ripped . .ok jump to early 40s (at this point I had never touched a drug not even weed ) so one night on my motorcycle , some kids going 60mph ran a red and I hit them coming through the intersection (thank god i wasn't one second ahead of myself) It Fd me up pretty bad and when I was finally out of the hospital I got sent home with 4 months of heavy opiates and thats what startyed my last decade of horrible life ruining addiction.. I had never been to the doctor in my life until the accident but when I hit 50 I decided to get a ligit full physical bloodwork and asked to check my testosterone levels . I did know my Lobito had all but disappeared and was affecting relationships plus I was starting to have serious anxiety , horrible insomnia and no energy etc etc . ..... Soooo Im no doctor and will simplify this but I think testosterone measurement is in nanograms per deciliter and to make this simple and this is kinda paraphrasing My doc but an athletic early twenty's male will be in the 1000-1200npd and a guy my age (50) should be in the 300-500 range...................mine was 75 :/ this freaking Me out and has become My driving force to get clean. .I have recently successfully tapered my fent use in the last 2 months and in 30 more days ill be down to a pill or two a day and heading to rehab. . Not sure if and doctors are on here or if any of you fellas are dealing with this but after getting clean and back in the gym constantly , should I expect my levels to return ???? My ass hat doctor noted my T was extremely low but didnt seem to offer any further actions.. .Once im opiate free I plan on treatments unless there is a chance I can naturally get My levels up again. . (sorry for the narcissistic first paragraph but I was trying to explain why I believe I had if not super high, at least healthy T levels )

You might first try something like enclomiphene, which you can get prescribed online easily. It is not an anabolic steroid but could increase your testosterone a bit. Its easy to get and fairly cheap.

That said, at 75ng/dl, it sounds like you're going to need testosterone therapy.

Not sure what degree the fent is involved in your testosterone suppression, but one thing that helped me get off of methadone was daily exercise. It greater assisted the tapering effort and i was able to get off in around 18 months (from an enormous methadone dose of 380mg/day).

What kind of rehab are you going to check into when you get down to 1-2 pills a day of fentanyl ("blues" im guessing)? Because the withdrawal from even that dose can be brutal so hopefully the rehab is equipped to handle extreme discomfort. Personally, i don't believe in rehab (i feel like its really something you gotta take ownership of personally, and taper off slow while exercising, but i guess rehab works for some people, and if that is what it takes then go for it.

negrogesic , thanks for the info. I read up on enclomiphene and will try to get into my primary doc ughhh and see if she is having a good day and will help me out. And Im not actually going to "rehab" but heading cross country to be with My son and grandson for a few months until I feel stable enough to come back to this drug infested Hell hole (Tucson )

75 is definitely low but nothing to freak out about, a doctor would most likely start you on T therapy pretty readily with a test result like that whether they're having a good day or not. Its definitely out of range so any sane physician should take action

Thanks man... I suppose I should have put some pressure on her but since I was pretty sure My heavy opiate use was to blame, I didnt follow up as I should. I have cut use considerably so next step is to maybe focus on getting back in the gym and back to the doc.
