I don't know much about seizures and i'm well aware i should probably go to a specialist or different website for questions about this, but I figured maybe some of you have experienced this before. But recently, one of my friends had a seizure on adderall and was apparently dehydrated. And this has made me paranoid that i might have one cause i take adderall when i'm drinking. And the other day, I had smoked a few bowls, taken 2 20 mg adderall, and had also done a little blow and had been drinking heavily. I realize this wasn't the smartest thing to do, but by the time we went to the bar, every time a light hit me, i would start getting dizzy and nauseous, which never happens. I started freaking out and had to leave. I don't know if i'm just paranoid since my friend had his first seizure, that i might have my first too and now, I start to feel the same way whenever i smoke weed now and i can't enjoy it without getting paranoid. I'm just wondering if any of you are prone to seizures and if any of these drugs, might provoke them or should i be worried. thanks in advance for any replies.

Some people are just prone to seizures, but mixing that many substances together definitely doesnt help anything. Most likely, you were just paranoid, but i would treat this situation as if you werent just paranoid, and by that i mean, treat it as though you MIGHT have a seizure if you arent careful enough with your mixing of drugs because it can happen. Just take a break for a little while and maybe cut down the number of substances you mix together, hopefully that will allow your mind to stay at ease knowing that it is highly unlikely that you will have a seizure.

Why are you taking adderall recreationally anyway? Has no one ever introduced you to opiates?

Justtakethat, that was a very inconsiderate answer and added nothing to this conversation. For one, adderall feels amazing recreationally, and a lot of people would prefer stimulants over depressants. Your opinion on what is fun does not have to be the same as everyone else's.

Im just talking about the comedown. Opiates have no comedown are are non toxic. Hes doing alot more damage taking amphetamines that opiates

Is it possible for you to get your hands on an anticonvulsant to raise your seizure threshold? If not, try not mixing all of those substances together, that could do it and it'll prevent you from being so paranoid.

But I highly suggest Gabapentin if you could get some.

I dont recomend using an anticonvulsant on top of alchohol and adderall. Just take the adderall and the anticonvulsant and leave out the alchohol.

I have had several seizures (due to epilepsy, which might make the comparison somewhat invalid) and I haven't experienced any of the symptoms you are talking about. Mostly, I just wake up to realize that I have had a seizure, i.e. there are no "warning signs" before I get it. In a few cases, however, I feel like I get small electric shocks, my entire body jerks (like when you are close to falling a sleep a wake because your body jerk) and in connection to this jerk I involuntarily take make a huge gasp for air. You should never take Gabapentin or Pregbalin in combination with alcohol if you have en tendency for seizures or epilepsy - at least this is my experience. This combination can trigger seizures and this has happened for me too. But in my case Gabapentin and Pregbalin have proven inefficient in preventing seizures. For some reason they just doesn't work for me. I get treated with Lamotrigin and benzodiazepines as Lamotrigin alone isn't enough. No one here can answer your question about whether are not you were close to getting a seizure. If you are really worried you should talk to a doctor or something about it or avoid taking too much stimulants at one time. You can take a small amount of benzodiazepine when you take stimulants to help prevent seizures. But the combination of benzo's and alcohol is a no go as it is really dangerous. Just don't do it.
