Benzos Sedation

Clonazepam is more sedating than diazepam, for MOST people. But everyone is different some report the opposite so its about finding what works for you. Valium seems to have a higher affinity for the receptors benzos work on and despite not being as potent as clonazapam is has Strong muscle relaxant effects, anxiolytic effects, anticonvulsant effects, and has strong sedative-hypnoptic effects.

I recommend trying the two and seeing for yourself(at different times of course) it's hard to say how each will effect you.

For me i like clonazapam more than valium for these effects if you want personal experience.

Everyone is different & I've tried both & I don't like klonopins effects at all......I choose Valium over any benzo except Temazepam.

Diazepam is more sedating for me, personally. Plus clonazepam makes me a fucking ASSHOLE. Like red hot rage asshole.

I find Diazepam/Valium to be more therapeutic as an anxiolytic, though Clonazepam/Klonopin better as a sedative, as such I usually use Diazepam during the day for my anxiety as it doesn't put me to sleep. Though at night, if I can't sleep I'd use Clonazepam/Alprazolam or Quetiapine if I really can't sleep - just makes me feel rough the next day but it's far more effective.

IME it's the other way around, i find valium to be more sedative that clonazepam. but i don't take them daily because i don't have anxiety issues so probably you have more exoerience than me.

Weird how we're all made of the same stuff, but so very, very different huh!

I definitely found Valium to be more sedating than Klonopin. Of the benzos I've taken (Xanax, Ativan, Triazolam, Temazepam, Klonopin, Valium, Oxazepam), I've found Valium to be much better at killing the anxiety and as the granddaddy of mucle relaxants it was nice to finally have my shoulders down where tehy belong instead of up at my temples where they usually are. I foudn it strange that Klonopin had absolutely no effect one me at all.
