Technical Problem Search function ?

when i try to look for anything, it does give me search results, but these are NEVER relevant.. ?
or am I doing something wrong ?

I searched for "2C-E" and "combinations" and the first results were:

sorry if this is a stupid question but wtf ?

edit: when i look for "2c-e big and dandy" it comes up with ANYTHING but 2CE..
 
try being more general, i.e., rsearch chemicals or RC or RCs.

This search engine isn't great.

try googling your search terms along with blue light drug

My advice is to use the advanced search, and use some of the options to narrow your search down. After clicking the 'advanced search' link at the top right the first thing that I would do is make sure to search for titles only, like so;

I also click on the tab above that for 'search single content type' but you can try switching it up to see which one gives you better results.
Then I would scroll down below that to only search in particular forums, in your case Psychedelic Drugs, and maybe a few others that are relevant. You can do this by clicking 'control' on each one while will allow you to search in multiple threads.

I also suggest checking out the post about using the search function in the Support FAQ.

If you still don't get the results you are looking for then I suggest using the google search above the aforementioned search function.
 
I have the same problem quite frequently, Advanced search with "titles only" selected is very helpful.

This shows how to search JUST the forum while using Google (or any other search engine)
Hope this helps; I know how bothersome it can be but once u learn the tricks its rather easy and effective if ya asks me :)
 
^ Thanks for posting that link. I just want to mention that some of the information in that link may be outdated since the post is from 2007, but the majority of it is still helpful.
 
theres a more in depth one with pictures and stuff but for the life of me i couldnt find it so i figured thats still helpful and still a useful and valid first "stepping stone" tutorial lol.
