This is looking really good to me and the early critical buzz is great! I realize Stone hasn't made a good film in a long time. The cast looks good to me, maybe Travolta might have a come back again, as I have hated most of his work except Pulp. Anyone going to see this Friday? I know I will check it out and get back to you.

Oliver Stone's new film, eh?

I will give it a try on his name alone... I do hope it's good!

I just got back from seeing this movie and I loved it. There are plenty of things about it that most of the audience might not accept or think it's over the top. I really didn't allow that to control my feelings on the film, it was really well paced, great acting, smooth direction...ultra violent, and darkly humorous to me. Some critics were saying very little humor, I couldn't disagree more, I was smiling and laughing at times, though it is a serious film. Benecio was completely convincing and almost cartoonish, but that is how plenty of people in his position would be. Salma Hayek was fantastic to look at and made me realize why I love her and want to sleep with her...but aside from that, she was really good in this, Travolta was in good form. The other 3 actors whos names escape me...wait Blake Lively is the girl...well they all did really good to me, there is one thing about the movie that I feel people will talk shit about. I won't reveal it here b/c that's called a spoiler. If you're an Oliver Stone fan and love crime movies with lots of sexuality, violence, and just plain savagery then Savages is for you. It kinda reminded me of Tarantino maybe with a mixture of Traffic, although it didn't flow in any way like Traffic. This is certainly not on any level as Pulp Fiction or the great gangster movies, but it was damn entertaining.

My two cents

I wonder how long its either released to dvd or hits aussie cinemas. Cant wait to see it, but will probably have to wait quite a while.

Benicio del Toro and Salma Hayek (yum!) = win

The rest...not so good.
