Sativex

hasnt sativex actually killed someone?

just take the plant as mother nature intended

sativex causing death...woa thats all i got to say. lets run a little good search here, that seems crazy, as its a plant based extract, not synthetic.\

EDIT: heres a link to the article Psy is refering to http://www.medindia.net/news/view_news_main.asp?x=6382.

Doesnt seem like there is any connection to me, 5 months is a pretty long time between being "disturbed", which means she probably was just high and had a panic attack, and death. I know that cannabis can cause blood sugar drops, maybe she got the munchies and ate way too much sugar hahah. My cousin has diabetes and smokes with me every time i see him, hes never had a problem, not one.

The article also states the death was due to sativex, but the reason she died was kidney failure. I fail to see any link to kidney failure from sativex, which is plant based btw.

i doubt very much there is a link - your right Sativex is cannabis in vapour form, thats why its so effective it contains all the plant - cannabinoids etc also THC - a revolution in biochemistry apparently. Marinol is just THC and is not as effective because you swallow it. what I meant was, do you think we should prescribe this to patients with effected immune systems instead of cannabis grown by somebody who might not even flush the weed - theres a lot of adulterated herb in UK at moment (grit weed and the like) and I don't like the idea of my grandmother puffin away on a joint full silicate

sorry, i totally didnt even respond to your question did i.

Personally i dont think youd have to worry about your cannabis being adulterated, i know it happens, but its much less common than its made out to be. What i WOULD worry about it, is someone with a lowered immune system inhaling burning plant matter. Even that is not good for someone with an elevated immune system!

Im a big fan of extracts, purely for the reason that you need less to get you where you want to be, which means less harmful byproducts in the process.

Eating cannabis seems like a good choice too. Do you guys have any type of cannabis, medically produced or grown for medicine in the UK? Im from Canada, so our laws differ.

Sativex is actually being produced in UK - at mo no precription is allowed for any form - sufferers are buying it from the street. not sure about the US situation but there have been hundreds of bust on 'cannabis farms' in UK. more than 3 farms a day. To bulk it up growers were putting sugar then sand and who know what else into the weed. In Amsterdam they use herbal form but kill off spours etc.
At the mo Canada is the only place Sativex is prescribed. What's happening in California? Is herbal cannabis prescribed there? Is it proposition 215 or something
