San Pedro - First time - true what they say...

Twenty six inches total, divided evenly between two of us. That's thirteen inches each. True what they say about potency variations. 3 hours in and I and my trip mate are stuck at what is barely threshold. I have a noticeable body buzz, (particularly in feet, upper legs, and fingers) but the psychedelic headspace is absent as are visuals etc. CEVs... gone... I looked for them, meditated, and at one point felt they were close, almost to the point where they were faint, but then they faded... a shame. I feel nice, but I'm stuck at a point where all I can think of is that I desire to go deeper. I should not have gotten my hopes up so high for a decent strength trip at this dosage, especially when I knew that the potency of this cactus varies wildly, but I did. That hope for the evening is dead. So it goes.

My apologies, next time perhaps I'll just take some notes along the way when I feel the need to post an incomplete report (hmm, you don't seem that mean at all). Unfortunately, there's not too much more to say.

Somewhat to my surprise the trip did pick up a bit, but never acheived the level I was hoping for. We have a cottage cheese ceiling and the light was casting interesting shadows on it. After a while of staring at the ceiling looking for visuals to manifest themselves parts of the ceiling started to bubble up. The bubbles would move around slowly and smoothly and move up and down a bit. After a while their movement began to match my breathing. This was as heavy as the visual portion of the trip ever got.

Still absent was any strong head trip, although I did write some interesting things on a piece of 11x14 matboard about god "fucking with our heads". I think I was more amused by the sound my pen made on the board than anything I was writing, however.

The body buzz remained prominent throughout the night, and running on the grass created a marvelous feeling in my feet, which then spread to my legs, chest, arms, and then head. Felt a bit like energy flowing through me.

Most of the night I was thinking (and I still am today) that a 100mgs of methylone or a lower dose of MDMA would have been an excellent compliment. I had neither on hand.

Total duration of the trip was about 6 - 7 hours. Effects may have continued longer but my head was tired (my legs on the other hand, continued to walk even while in bed, which made falling asleep... interesting). All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, but just wasn't quite up to what I was looking for.
