Touching base with Salvia- First Experience
Wow my first trip with salvia, here it goes. Purchased some 5x extract, doubting it would work the first time I tried it after reading various reports. I had a trip sitter with me, she was well informed of the effects. I decided to trip on my bed, in a dark room. I thought Pink Floyd would of been an alright choice in music, I found out later it was not. I packed about 1/10 of a gram in my bong and took it all in one hit. As I held in the hit and counted I could feel reality jetting away fast. I handed the bong off to my sitter, and said uh-oh. I layed back in bed and curled into a ball(according to sitter). I lost all touch with reality at the point. My mind/soul was sucked through the back of my head, and I recall a very erotic body feeling before I departed. I felt like it was trying to take me somewhere, sweeping me through time and space. I was not frightened however, just cautious. Almost like I was on track to meet something higher, perhaps another being. I've never thought too much into other gods/worlds etc. From there the trip took a downturn, my obnoxious roomate was on the phone in the room and I heard him say my roomate is taking drugs now. It was like a megaphone in my head and the sound kept replaying and replaying. It brought me back to my body suddenly and I heard the music like a megaphone too(even though it was very low). I love Floyd to death but sound hurt my head badly. The mouse clicking of my sitter was like daggers in my ears, and the light from the monitor was horrible. I realized there were two options turn everything off and shut my roomate up, which was impossible in my state. Or turn the lights on and try to come back to reality. I struggled to stand and turned the lights. I became grounded back in reality with a huge smile on my face. The afterglow was very intense and almost euphoric, however my brain felt like mush. I could not formulate what happened. For the next hour I felt very edgy yet good, I was trying to formulate thoughts on the experience but could not. I feel that I hit only the edge of what salvia can do, and I hope to take the same dose next time in complete silence and in the dark. Oh yeah the whole experience lasted maybe 5 minutes but felt like an eternity.
On a side not my trip sitter wanted to try the drug also, I was hesitant but she insisted. After sobering up I measured out her the same does, and she smoked in the same manner. Within in seconds she layed back on the bed, and begin to caress her arms, moaning slightly. She looked like she was in bliss the whole time. However, after coming out of it(2 and 1/2 minutes), she was visibly upset. She said it started off great she was in a garden, with flowers or roses. However, the sound of a muffled t.v. from the other room seriously freaked her out. She thought she saw a clown face or something to that extent, and thought I was standing over top of her the whole time. When in fact I was sitting dead silent, trying not to disturb her experience. She had the same difficulty putting the experience into words, and does not think she will attempt the experience again. A fun drug? No, I dont think so, a eye opening experience? Yes.
