Safe to take yerba mate with SSRI zoloft?

I am on 75mg of zoloft is it safe to drink yerba mate while on this medication?

I did ask my doctor if it's safe and she had not heard of yerba mate but said how it should be safe but that I should watch my caffeine intake since I also drink coffee and tee.

Has anyone here on this site taken zoloft and yerba mate together?

It should be safe to consume yerba mate while you are on zoloft or an SSRI, as long as you do not have bad reactions to caffeine.

Zoloft is not listed under the drugs that interact with yerba mate.

At least you talked to your doctor about this. Drinking yerba mate should be safe since it's basically like drinking a multi-vitamin.
