Opioids Safe morphine tablet IV prep

A friend of a friend recently came across two round white pills marked 54/262 on one side and scored through the middle on the other. He was told these were 30 my instant release morphine tablets. Was he correct?
We've all heard that the oral administration of morphine only retains about 30%, So let's make sure we get the maximum potential of his find.
as a relatively experienced IV user, it was suggested by someone in the room to crush the, and rig them up. I lack the knowledge of how to safely prepare a pill for if use or even if there is a "safe" way to do so.
Could anyone give me any advice please?

yes zug, that tablet is indeed morphine sulfate 30mg IR. Best advice I can give you is to not bang ANY pills. Unless your using micron filters as you know this is cocka on your veins.. But if you must and do not have a wheel filter, crush up and use approx .7 -1.0 cc of water, seems like alot but once you draw it back it will come to less a half of a cc. no need for heat morphine is highly water soluble, warm water will do. if you do not have micron filters please double or triple filter, it will still look cloudy but hey, yolo. Dont expect it to have any legs but the rush will be quite nice, enjoy.

Um, I respectfully disagree with this, don't shoot cloudy solutions. YOLO is great and all, but maybe not the best philosophy when using IV drugs. I have shot A LOT of morphine and have always had to boil the water, dump in the powder then boil again, and finally pull up through a filter into the syringe. While adding heat isn't great while prepping pills for IV, 1) morphine seems to gel a lot any other way, and 2)I would rather shoot a clear solution, with insoluble binders clearly left behind in the spoon, then a cloudy one where that is not the case. Also, for me morphine has always had good legs, it is one of the longer lasting opiates...
