Romain Lettuce

i don't know if this is true or not, but somebody told me if you cook Romain Lettuce a certain way you can make some sort of hash like material or somthing??? does anybody know anything about this. he said romain lettuce is someway part of the opiate family...for sum reason i think this guy is a dumbass, but if it is true i would like to know.

Wild lettuce (sometimes known as lettuce opium) is supposed to have some very mild narcotic qualities to it. They sell hash/opium-ish extracts of it in high times and similar places, but I assume those are probably bunk
I'm pretty sure Romain lettuce does NOT share these qualities.
