Morning yall,

I have been slowly using ritalin up too 80 mgs a day about half of it snorted over about 2 and half months and am going to be going into withdrawal in a couple of days. What am I too expect.

Started off at 20 mgs a day and slowly went up overtime l.

I don't think there is much of a physical withdrawal from stimulants it should be mild but that's my first thought I used to binge it snorting it never for more than a couple days though at least you weren't like taking it as prescribed for years then need to stop that's probably more uncomfortable but not serious as far as WD goes

That's funny so they say in this taking it as prescribed does not generally put people at risk of withdrawal but abuse does,

I would think the more years you take it regularly the more difficult the stopping period is but that's my experience abusing it never had an issue stopping

In very simple terms, withdrawal from stimulants is pretty much what you're imagination would perceive as opposite of the primary effects.

Instead of a million great ideas, you'll struggle thinking clearly.

Instead of energy, you will be lethargic.

Rose colored glasses become gray. If you ask me, this both physical and metaphorical. Life literally looks gray, like watching a black and white movie. You perceive the colors, but you can't feel them.

The way you've described your usage...

80mg Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is a moderate-high dosage. For instance, a lot of people are limited in their intake by the peripheral side effects of the drug.

Taking anything over 120mg-140mg per day is going to have a person geeked out.

For more perspective, a daily user of Methamphetamine can sleep for 5 days straight, waking only to urinate and then move on to a week of brain fog followed by resolution over weeks/months.

I'd guess you will experience some brain fog, anxiety, depression and some somnolence for 48-72 hours before you start rapidly feeling better. You could be feeling "normal" within 7-10 days.

I know thus sounds scary, but all of this should be mild and manageable. It won't kill you. Just prepare for some challenging days but be optimistic that it will be a short phase.

60 mg of Ritalin is the optimum safe dose for an adult human being. More than that risks a stroke, heart, or BP crisis. Withdrawals are feeling low energy and less clear in thinking. They are not intolerable like narcotic withdrawals. Good luck and please take care of yourself.

I'd be more worried about the xanax withdrawal. I've never experienced long term withdrawals from stimulants, only really comedowns for the next 1-3 days on meth. Physically there's zero danger
Withdrawals from Xanax is one of the most dangerous types of withdrawal. Withdrawals can lead to seizures. I have not seen it happen but in medical education it is stressed heavily.
